An EXTRA twist on the JVC camcorder R&R.

Even if your Tesco have amended the price - think u can still get an R&R because (at my local Tesco anyway) the stand says that u get a free pack of tapes with the camcorder and they went through the till as an additional £7 odd so the deal would still have been wrong even if the camcorder had scanned at the £199 price... Maybe read the stand properly in your local store - but it definately worked in mine - I got the camcorder + a pack of tapes refunded..

    HTH someone

    :)

(oh and thanks to the OP - cant find the originator now to press thanks)

Question for those that have successfully got the R&R on the camcorder.... With the camcorder, there are empty boxes of these with a note at the display saying to take said empty box to the checkout to purchase. Now I scanned the empty box and it came up at £229 ish and obviously the display says £199, BUT do you take it to the main checkout and then go to customer services with the empty box, ask for the camcorder and R&R or go to the electrical desk checkout and get a boxed camcorder, pay and then to CS for R&R? Thanks.

ONE PROBLEM I HAVE FREQUENTLY HAD IS THAT I HAVE HAD ITEMS DOUBLE SCANNED. IF YOU ARE DOUBLE SCANNED IN ASDA YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND £2 GIFT CARD. IT THIS CORRECT THAT IF IT HAPPENS IN TESCO YOU GET A R&R as i have never had this in the past and i would like to know so that i can quote this next time i am double scanned.

    thanks

We debated this one a while back.

Some stores give R + R on this error. Some stores don't as cashier error isn't a system error, therefore doesn't count as R +R.

So only your store can answer this one for you!

my brother bought the whole thing, 'walked out of the shop', 'walked back in' and went to customer support and pointed out the error on the receipt

    kinda common sense really!

once you have paid for the item, you have them by the short and danglies, if you haven't paid for it, you're merely pointing the error out to them and they have no obligation to give it to you!
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

In one store I go to they have the big blue sign behind CS with the normal policy on, but attached to the till is a smaller blue sign thats says if you've been overcharged on a reduced item or double scan you will get the difference back

I did it all at the same time as collecting it - you have already paid so its pretty clear by then that there has been an overcharge

    Good luck

Can we confirm a model number of camcorder?

The only one around this price was JVC GR-D240EK priced at £229.88 at Tesco Stafford this lunchtime.
