I went to Tesco to look for misprices for the first time on Monday, but came away with nothing! Mind you, it was a bit of a half-hearted attempt, so next time I must be more organised and perhaps take a note of items with me :money: I am totally hooked on the Tesco misprices thread :D

I know it is addictive. I dont get something each week though I do look and sometimes have a misprice list. My local Tesco does not have a scan checker so cant check before I buy. If you can find a Tesco with one of these then you are more confident going to the checkout.

In Dundee Kingsway Store there are plenty of the Little Britain Scripts and other stuff hardback books. Stickered for £8 something but scan a pound higher. I didnt bother buying any myself so they have yet to be brought to the attention of C.S.

  • In Tesco Bury yesterday there was a goodmans 26" widescreen LCD tv with two prices. On the shelf the price was shown at 399, however there was what seemed to be a new "discount price" which was actually higher at 449. If it scanned for the higher price of 449 then so far as i understand it you would get it free? I didn't actually have the guts to try it, but for anyone who does, it is there for the taking.
  • Where did the thread go about the free £10 off tesco online shop with no minimum spend?

Just been reading the posts, really interesting!

I just bought 'Inside I'm Dancing' today as sticker on it said £8.97. After paying I realised that I was charged £10. Went to Customer Service who first said I could have a full refund. The assistant went to get to price label, she came back and said it was £10 and no other books had stickers on. She then said she could only refund the £1.03 as the label price is correct. I said to her I thought it was the full refund, but she fobbed me off. She was picking at the label, and wrote on the receipt 'label stuck on book', practically implying that I had stuck it on myself!! Anything I can do? I'm not fussed about £1.03 but I don't like being called a thief!

Call head office and tell them about it - they'll come good. If they don't, call trading standards - and tell the store that you're going to. They have broken the law - period.
  • I've never tried this before but I'm intrigued - could someone tell me do you have to buy the product first or can you claim the r+r when it's scanned before you hand over the cash?

You must pay first. Then take the item to customer services where they will check whether you have been charged a different price than the lowest advertised.I suggest you look at the first post of this thread where there is a helpful summary. Good luck.
