    Nice One!

I recall in one of the older threads someone getting R&R on petrol - but IIRC it was due to another station selling fuel at a higher price - I think Tesco have some sort of geographical price promise on fuel??

Anyhow - nice one you cheeky !!!!!! ;)

Surely they already have that certificate then, otherwise how could their security staff look at it from those stations?

Yes staff employed by Tesco CAN look at the CCTV however we the customer also have that right - but not immediatly!! Under the terms of the Data protection act members of the public have a right to obtain copies of CCTV recordings featuring identifiable images of themselves although we must request this and Tesco have to digitly mask the faces of everyone else.

Watch out, you never know who is about.

As far as I'm aware there should be no cost as we have right of access also the law states that to avoid inringement Tesco must only allow access to the police or persons in the employment of the system owner and any tape used must not be recorded on more than 12 times

I wasn't overly concerned whether it was that particular individual or the security man who reviewed the CCTV footage, just as long as they were denying the evidence and I was adamant it had been removed.

I was told I would have to go through a solicitor if I wanted a copy of the tape.

This seemed to be taking it all just a little too seriously, and as they admitted their "mistake" I was happy to accept the manager's offer.

This is a fascinating forum and opens everyones eyes to procedure and protocol in the world around us.

    Thanks for all the info.

At the Store where the other half works they only record if they think someone is acting suspicously. It`s an old store and an old system - I suspect the new stores have better systems.

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and last night managed to get my first r&r. So, I thought I would give it another go.

I have just been walking around the entertainment section and have noticed a lot of items have stickers on them which have a higher price than the SEL. Of the items I saw, there was more than £1000 worth. One of the items scanned at the higher price than the SEL ( valued at nearly £500 )

If I would have bought, could I argue that the SEL was incorrect? or do I have no defence because there is a sticker with the correct price on it?

Sorry if this has already been covered.

If the SEL was lower than the price that the item scans at, you would be able to get r+r irrespective of any sticker on the box. Tesco's must charge the lowest advertised price.
