He said this was impossible and that not even he was allowed to see the footage. After several minutes he offered me a refund ( not r&r ) which I declined. He then asked me to leave the store.

Actually, it's true that he probably wasn't allowed to view the CCTV footage. You need some sort of special certificate to be able to view footage off a CCTV camera. Had he done as you'd asked, he could have gotten himself into a lot of trouble.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Going on a misprice-hunt at Tescos for the first time tonight! I understand that people put prices here once they find them after going through the tills. However, is it a little dodgy to pick up items that I think may be mispriced (i.e. different price of packet compared to SEL) and take them to the scanner things around the store to check first? Or is this just being a little too dogdy?

Edit: Sorry - this should have been on the discussion thread...

I saw some laptops in my local Tesco today. The sticker price on the box was higher than the SEL.

Can I do anything with that?

Surely they already have that certificate then, otherwise how could their security staff look at it from those stations?

Most people do that before buying(well i do), theres nothing wrong with it but if they found out you were doing it to make sure it WAS mispriced they'd be annoyed.
I think this should probably be on the policy discussion thread anyway.

Think these DVDs are scanning at £6.97 - price on the box is £7.97 - SELs are variable.......

Afraid I am guilty of using my son to check prices on the scanner,I think the staff think kids like to play with them.
