They've quoted their policy to me, I'm just trying to get them to confirm if the chart poster is the same as SEL
This is the same problem that I have been having in Northampton but you are right to get the refund because I have had it in two different stores previously for the same reason.
I thought that if you used your clubcard you would get the points even if you were refunded? Should I not use my clubcard when getting R&R's?[FONT=georgia, bookman old style, palatino linotype, book antiqua, palatino, trebuchet ms, helvetica, garamond, sans-serif, arial, verdana, avante garde, century gothic, comic sans ms, times, times new roman, serif]A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it

What's the worst they can do? Ban you from the store. You're doing nothing wrong. What happening is that Mr T is taking advantage of customers by mis-selling items because they want to or because they're too incompetent not to - whichever way you look at it, what Mr T is doing is illegal. All you're doing is spotting where they are breaking the law, bringing it to their attention in a NICE WAY and taking advantage of their policy into the bargain.
My advice is this: If you still feel up to it, when you got back to CS for an R&R, take a note pad and make notes of what was said by each party and report to Head Office (and maybe even Trading Standards) if the outcome is not in line with the company policy. If you get banned, such evidence would be useful in a discussion with Head Office.
It's all down to how brave you are and how much trouble you want to go to.
REMEMBER, YOU ARE DOING NOTHING ILLEGAL0 -

They tried to tell me last night on 2 poster mispriced CDs that the poster prices was for tesco on line and not the store. I asked for this in writing - manager came and said he would refund the difference - "oh, I thought etc...." to which he replied "You know too much". offered me BOGOF - I said no he said " tell you what have a present from me. 2 pressies sorted but forgot my receipt.
BTW after my recent failure to get r+r on pc and monitor (£50 off buying 2 finished 24th Dec - bought 31st - sign still up) I took them back and got refund. Was told that linksave items dont qualify. will take it up with HO though dont fancy my chances much.0 -

They've said that to 1 of my mates who live in Aylesbury. At first they refunded her no problem but now they just stick to the fact that the posters are the ON-LINE prices
I just want something in writing to say that the posters count the same as the SEL0 -

"You know too much"? Bloody cheek! It's written in White and Blue on the wall behind him!
I've had the on-line bafflement comment made to be about the CD posters. Told customer services that it was irrelevant as if that was the intention of the poster, it should have made it abundantly clear and the fact that the store was using it as an invitation to treat made it a clear breach of the Sale of Goods Act when it was charged at a higher price.tootsie215 wrote:BTW after my recent failure to get r+r on pc and monitor (£50 off buying 2 finished 24th Dec - bought 31st - sign still up) I took them back and got refund. What utter rubbish - these fools should read their own company policies as it's clear that their customers know it better than they do. I would take it up with head office ASAP and consider Trading Standards too.0 -

Yes, unless it's perfectly clear that the prices are ONLY available on-line, then it's an Invitation to Treat at the store.0 -
I don't shop often in Tesco but the baffling thing i've been reading is Tesco's employees saying the posters are the online price. Now am i right in thinking they are utterly silly to do this anyway? if 1) the poster price is higher then they are advertising that online shoppers like me are getting a bum deal from shopping online
2) if the posters state you can buy items for a lower price then surely they are rubbing it in shoppers faces that they could have got it cheaper by going online?
am I right?Running total for swagbucks - £270 since Jan
Running total for superpoints -:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Does it actually 'say' "Online Price Only" on the poster? If not, then I'd just point that out and stand my ground.0

I have had problems with this -online price explanation. I think the staff on cs genuinely believe that it is the online price, as this explains to them why the prices are different. However, the manager of the cd section should know.
Anyway, when I checked the online price, it was actually more than the price displayed in store. H.O. called the store for me and I received and apology. And a refund.I had to give up in store as it was entirely circular, with the cs pointing to the 'tesco.com' logo at the top and me saying ' but it doesn't say online price.' Sometimes its better to retire gracefully and pursue it through H.O., though I have heard others say H.O. will not support the posters any more.
They should stop issuing them if they don't want people to use them to find special offer prices- that is the whole point of theposters.0
