I was in the long eaton(notts/derby border just for ampersound):) store this morning at the CS desk waiting for my r&rs to be sorted.A chap came up with 8 litres of whiskey&the same amount of bacardi(i think). He said he had been charged the normal price individually at the checkout, but he stated there was a huge banner outside saying 2 for £20.The CS person replied that the offer finished yesterday,he replied "i only bought them aas they were such a good deal"he went on to say "i am more than willing to pay the banner price".Someone was sent to take down the banner straight away & he got the 2 for £20 deal,........could he have demanded his R&R??.
  • yes he could but probably wasn't aware of it.
    Another day another R&R

I think they should, legaly it's not up to the customer to check what date an offer ends.

I think the recent court case (someone correct me please if I'm wrong) where Tesco were fined was because the offer had ended but the sign was still up outside the store and they didn't honor it so someone went to Trading Standards

I have written to Tesco and emailed them but no reply yet
  • Bought 4 x 1 litre Bells Whiskey bottles today 12.98 each SEL 2 for £20.00
CS tried to fob me off with difference saying out of date promotion
I said "not my problem " she spoke to manager who said " give customer what they are entitled too"
    £52.00 R & R
    Cheers MR T
It appears less is more at customer services . Keep it short and you always get what you are entitled too under their policy....
If anybody gets into difficulty just point to R&R policy and say nothing !!!
CS always get flustered and do R&R quickly

    Hope this helps somebody

With some of the alcohol offers they did not have a date on though. The big printed A4 yellow sheets simply had the offer on it with no end date, thus easy to enforce R & R. Will have a crack at the whiskey one later.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

Don't let them off with that again! - It's not your job to look at the dates, your a customer not a member of staff!
If it happens again ask if you can speak to head office from their phone.

p.s. I hit thanks instead of quote!
