Is it absolutly ness. to have broadband with this? As I only have dial up at home

    Thanx

    I'm almost certain broadband is a pre-requisite.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

C'mon, you didn't expect the questions to be "What's the capital of France?" did you? You'll have to work at it a bit...:p

As for your boss - can't you use other referees?

    Hi guys.

Last week I applied for the application form, filled it in that day and sent it back. In two days I got an email back saying that I had passed, signed the contract and emailed that back. Then I got an email 2 days later with the details on how to download the software and how to contact my Senior Researcher. I was also sent an email saying they would like to get me up and running by the weekend. I emailed my SR and have my introduction tonight over Yahoo Messenger.

I've been impressed so far with the turnaround time (initial application to introduction in 5 days!) and am looking forward to getting going.

Will post a message tomorrow with an update!

    Hi all
Just sent mine back. The questions were tricky and required some imaginative searching, but I think I found appropriate answers for them all. Not sure they will be good enough though. Wait and see.

Well I had my induction last night which was pretty straight forward. Took about half an hour over Yahoo Messenger. My test question went fine except for one small time formatting problem and then I was free to go on and answer 25-30 "real" questions. You start by only doing 30 or so and then your mentor reviews your answers before they clear you to continue "full time".

I had a strange mix of questions coming through but answered them all with relative ease. Am now waiting for my review before I can continue...

There were loads and loads of questions coming through (approx 8:30-9:30pm) and it was actually a lot of fun. I now know when Ireland's next 3 football fixtures are; how much a pint of Guinness is in a pub in Hull; Who "The Cat Empire" are and many many other bizarre facts!

Hopefully my mentor will review my answers and with me the all clear to continue. We shall see....

Congratulations on getting through! I've been with AQA for nearly 3 months and I love it. The only problem I have is knowing when to stop! I keep saying to myself 'just half an hour more...' and then I find I'm still going at 3am!

Hope you continue to enjoy it.

  • Finally finished my application

It was tough :o but I think I did OK, apart from maybe one of the questions :D

Good luck to all who apply! I know what you've been through :rotfl:
