I know asking for help on AQA application questions isn't strictly allowed, but i was wondering if anyone could give me advice on this question I've been given.

"I like someone and want to invite him out, but I'm just TOO SHY and fear rejection, especially as we are neighbours. How can I do it? Don't tell me to just ask him."

I'm wondering on where you think AQA would stand on advising the person to go for it, despite the request to not say this? Obviously my reply wouldn't be "just ask" but I'm wondering if they would frown on an answer which says what the asker doesn't want to hear.

Quick silly questions for those who have filled this in before. I'm in the process of completing my application and i notice that on the employment section there is only room to put in 2 previous employers 9plus the sheet seems to be protected as I can't seem to add anymore in). Sot he question is should I just put in my two most recent employers or the two which I'll be using for references? As others have said, I'm not too keen on using a reference from my current employer as I don't really want them to know what I plan to do in my spare time...

Unless things have changed since I last applied for AQA (a few months ago), AQA don't actually check references. Can anyone confirm this is still the case?

I did this with my hubby!

Have something delivered to his house 'by mistake', when he comes round to give you said item ask him in for coffee to say thanks! he has come to you and your only being neighbourly, if he says no your not rejected and is he says yes you could be onto a winner!!!

The Mrs did AQA for a while but gave it up due to there being to many stupid pointless questions that were taking ages to answer. Then the normal questions like when does the last bus leave, you had to fill out with random !!!!! to get up near 153 when all along they just wanted to know the time of the bus

  • Ive decided to give this a go and i was wondering how on earth youve all gone about answering Is Kevin Peterson a solid, top flight cricketer or just an arrogant, unreliable git with a bat.

    ?!
  • I sent my application and researcher test back on Weds last week and haven't heard anything yet... should I take that as a bad sign!? I thought I'd done well

I found that Kevin Peterson was a Professor of Molecular Paleobiology so I referenced him and also Kevin Pieterson the cricket player! Might be a bit arsey but I was trying to be funny like they wanted! Plus I couldn't comment on him as a cricketer!!

I send mine off on Friday but haven't heard yet. I think the answers I gave were correct and they had the correct number of characters but I'm not sure I had the right tone for them. I hope so as this would help us out as I'm at home all the time especially weekends so I could do a lot of hours on this and I'm a bit of a geek and like finding things out! I love watching QI!!! Shall just have to wait and see.
  • I googled his name and found stats about his cricketing and basically quoted one of them and said that it proved that he was a good cricketer!
  • Yeah i did the same, found some cricketing record he held and quoted it. Found it hard to fit alot of the questions into the 153 characters. Didnt really have much chance to put anything witty on any of the questions on my test as it was hard enough fitting in an actual answer. The Shakespeare question was particularly hard!

    Hopefully we'll hear back soon.
