Heidi Your baby is gorgeous!!!!!!!
Happy birthday to candygirlBest of luck at the hospital to penny pincher Also best of luck to Jackie O - I thought it was Fu Manchu who said "I shall return!"
Kaat_ladyNice to see another Scot
Talked DH into driving me to Tesco to try to get the dried egg which was reduced but had no luck with that. Did manage to get three 2kilo bags of red entils though , four litres of milk on special offer and some yellow stickered items.
DH really has taken to the Remoska - especially since I made him egg, bacon and tomatoes in it for lunch and pointed out how much cheaper it was than putting the grill on!
DD(14) was quite happy with her tortillas stuffed with cheese, onion and bacon when she got home from school and will make salmon for me an DH and chicken for other DD later tonight.
DH thought it was hilarious when the estate agent rang me and I convinced her to go and get a flu jab! Seems her brother works with a company that is gettng this done and he had told her to get it done as the flu in Australia was really bad this year!Freezing here in a fluffy cardigan and not wanting to put the heating on, so going to have a hot drink.Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Hi everybody,
Not got a lot of time to post but I saw that there were already 104 posts on the thread and thought - oooh, bet HeidiBoo's posted her baby picsCongratulations HeidiBoo, I knew you'd have to manage it eventually! She is teeny tiny and beautiful.
princess pixiedust, sorry you've decided to leave the Daily Thread - I've not been posting as much here lately either, it's nothing personal to anybody and I'm not that much busier than usual (well, I was very busy over the summer, and when things died down I just didn't get back into the habit of posting so much). I didn't even "decide" to post less, I just feel like I've grown apart from it a bit. I post far more on other, more specific threads
I read right through the feeding 4 people for a month for £20 thread today! Wow, what an inspiration! I'll definitely be following some of the tips on there in the future.
Hugs to anybody in need - PP, as usual, and candygirl's daughter, and all those I have missed.
I can't stop, I'm off out as usual (on free theatre tickets, also as usual)
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Hi again
Well the rain has eased off, though still windy. Got one pair of curtains taken up, the lining taken up, iron, gathered and hung, the other pair has the linings done, need to hem, iron, etc., I only have certain things out here and the sewing machine is one of those tiny ones, off the local market here, about the size of a childs one, but with a bobbin top and bottom. Imagine me sitting at the ironing board (plug on ironing board and short lead and table inthe middle of the room ) hemming the linings on 2 pr of 72" wide x 90" long curtains. I:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: was going to use wonderweb for the outers, but it is not cheap and I don't mind sewing so sat hemming by hand.:A I had to get 3 pr the other being 90 x 90 but they were £12 a pair at TJ Hughes:T , not the best in the world but adequate for here. They are lined but not that thick, but I already had thermal linings out here. They only get used for a couple of months when you need to keep the draughts from the windows out.
patentgirl - not sure where your Mum is but if you use this and amend the location you can get a 10 day guide - but it is always pretty fluid out here and the bad weather seems to ease earlier than forecast.
Right off out for the evening to the local bar with music.

Evening all,
First of all thanks for all the good wishes for my mum, have seen her twice today and she seems to be a bit better each time, she sent dad up the shop for bits and pieces today, but he came home with only half of it, he said the shop was too crowded, and he could not find anything:rolleyes: , so they are having fish and chips tonight, I said that I will get any shopping she needs at the weekend.
Well we have had dinner, sainsbugs have been, I have had a bath, and am now relaxing. DD just going to jump in the bath, she has to make a pudding in home ecc, which has to include a fruit which is in season now, I thought chocolate and pear tart, other that apples and pears I cant see what else would be in season now.
Jackie O, I know this mat be too late for you to read, but i hope all goes well for you, and that you hurry back xx
Heidi, she is beautiful, well done xx
Candy, have a good evening hun

Welcome to the newbies x
hugs to those in need, sorry if I have forgotten anything, but brain is tired.
Oooo forgot to say, I walked out of my course in temper today, the head bloke came in to assess the tutor, and long story short, he agreed with me about how useless he was, but asked if I would like 1 to 1 training with the chap,
, I said no, he is an accountant not a teacher and is clearly in the wrong job, any hoo I said I would stick it out today, but the tutor, kept jumping from one topic to the next, and there was a Polish lady next to me who was having trouble keeping up, so I asked tutor to slow down, and he said no its ok she can catch us up, well he has been doing this for three weeks and she cant catch up, so I lost my temper, told him exactly what I thought of him and walked out. Went to the office and got my money back, so will have to look for another course now
Hugs to all in need, have good evenings all xx
Jayward, hugs to you, hope you feel better soon xx0 -
