Studentsaver....welcome...I will certainly keep you company for the next half hour but I am sure that many others will be happy to take over...

PenPin...how wonderful you are feeling so well to-day....but the thought of that lovely bacon which is one of the things I actually like about America...salivating big time and there is no bacon of any kind in the house.

Anniestar...so you enjoyed L42 then?? Trust that you will be fully recovered to whip yourself into another frenzy to-morrow!

WS...congratulations you are doing SO well...keep it up....think that you now need to be assertive about watching a tv programme you like...even every second week.. if the knitting needles aren't a success you can always use them as fencing posts.

Heidiboo....what a lovely baby, DGD 1 was 5.15 and I thought that was tiny, but size is totally unimportant when they are healthy...take as much rest as you can...you can always comb your hair when she is 3 or 4!

Happy birthday Candygirl:bdaycake:have a good one.

Glad to hear that no private citizens will lose money with the credit crisis, no problems for me luckily...think that I am going to put any savings from now on into credit union and stay away from the ones which offer high interest...has to be some disatvantage to them...or am I just too scared of losing difficult to accumulate money?

The impatient patient has a new nurse...DD2 arrived home yesterday for a week or two and will pamper as much as she is allowed to while she is here! She is presently gone to town to look for gilets or similar as he is cold all the time and sat with the heat on full blast last night and a warm outdoor jacket on....she has only recently passed her driving test so is really enjoying driving still....can send her off for anything I need, I just have to take care of 2 DGDs which is not a bother.

Tiler at last here to finish kitchen and hall ( he will finish if I have to tie him to something to prevent him leaving before he is finished.

Where is Pixie going?? I know that she has a very busy life with the boys but will miss her posts...good luck Pixie.

Hester....as someone said, you don't have to try to make people cry...with me its usually with laughter...take care of you.

Hugs to whoever it was ( attention span of a gnat) who had a Rayburn explosion..lots of soap and water only cure I'm afraid, probably re-washing bits you miss the first time!

Heating is on full blast here for hours of the day, can't let OH get cold but he won't wear wool underwear and that is the only solution I can offer him....going to get him one of those thingies you put both feet into for his birthday in November.

Very windy here to-day, I don't think its very cold....as I am not going anywhere to-day I have not put socks on, think that we might have rain at any minute so have not bothered to hang washing outside, its draped around the upstairs but should dry quickly with the heat on.

Thanks again every body for the good wishes for Ulick, he needs to get himself up and out I feel but am afraid to say anything as I am NEVER right at present.

Hugs to all in need or want for whatever reason and congratulations to all who are celebrating.

Marie - how about dd suggesting that Ulick goes out with her for a bit? Sneaky, me?

Well I've dug the sausages out of the freezer, other than that I've been trying to work out facebook, managed to add a friend, but think I did it by accident, doh! Never mind ds will be home soon and I'm not working tonight so hopefully he'll take pity on me!

  • Thankyou to all you lovely people for the welcome!

Mummysaver - welcome to the wonderful world of facebook! Say goodbye to your free time...!

Well all I've managed to achieve in my sickly state is the washing up. Hmph, I hate having unproductive days. I really fancy making something but I'm feeling too nauseous to attempt making food and I'm stumped for other ideas! Any suggestions ladies and gents?

    Hugs to all.

Heidi - what a sweetie, I would desperately love another little bear.

As a lot of people are falling, is there some sort of adjustment to gravity? Has someone forgotten to pay the gravity bill with the credit crunch or are we switching to extra pull to save something or other? Please everyone, take care. It is getting to the time of year when it gets all slippy as well

For those who knit, the [STRIKE]telegraph poles[/STRIKE] knitting needles are 20mm. That is around four times the diameter you would expect to be knitting aran on. And, I have to confess, I plan to try and knit a bag out of old video tape. I shall let you know how I get on.

I shall also let you know how I get on tomorrow. I want to take little bear to a Mums and Tots. I have never taken him to anything like that. I am very nervous. But I shall buck myself up and get on with it. Today little bear has been so tired we just went to the shops at the end of the road with him in his reins. It was a challenge, because he enjoyed himself so much.

I suppose I ought to do this and that, but at the moment I am relaxing, while little bear gets a small nap. I think that is energetic enough.

Wannabesybil - I do hope you take little bear to Mother and Tots tomorrow - you'll both benefit a lot. He will love it and you will be able to get to know other mums and chat while the children are playing safely. I loved taking my sons when they were little. They always came home really happy, chatty and tired! Good luck. Let us know how you get on!

Isn't this weather gorgeous? I do hope it lasts and lasts!

My stew is bubbing away in the Remoska smelling delicious; I've just added the dumplings and I can't wait for dinner!

I've taken a couple of hours off this afternoon and just sat and knitted while I watched last night's Supernanny. Tonight is the start of a new series of one of my favourite programmes; Ice Road Truckers. It's on the History channel at 9pm with highlights from the first series on at 8pm. I love programmes like that and I'm really looking forward to this one because it's filmed in the Arctic Circle. I love watching people pitch themselves against the elements from the safety of my sofa!

Anyway, I'm going to get the washing in now because it'll be nice and dry.

Hope everyone is having a great day and that the 'fallers' are recovering!
