White people probably do. But the impression I got was that the percentage chance of it happening was increased with Muslims. Ok?

You do accept that different races, creeds and religions may have different ways of thinking don't you? Or are we all exactly the same because Lambeth council tells us we are.

What these people did was not illegal, and I was just presenting my story.

I don't think it's right to classify these guys as 'muslims'. That's far too general. People from particular overseas regions tend to congregate together when they immigrate here. So, what you and your estate agents are seeing is the customs and business ethics of people from a particular area. If there were something in Islam that says it's fine to act badly in business deals (and of course there isn't), you might have a point. As it is, you are mixing up regional and religious. In any case, the next generation of these immigrants will be far more 'British' in their outlook than their parents, and so on. It's been like that since William I and his band of mercenaries immigrated here 1000 years ago.

BTW, I do think if you are going to be non-PC you should at least be accurate.

I thought that myself, and asked the EA if she meant muslims or some geographical group, she said muslims and made a point of saying that that Sihks, for example, would always go through with a deal if they could.

It may be un-pc to say such things but we are all different in our own little ways, that's why we are diverse. For example (all generalisations but in the main true) Jews are great businessmen, Asians have a great work ethic, Chinese tend to gamble a lot. There will be rubbish Jews, lazy Asians and Chinese who never enter a casino but these traits exist and we cannot deny them.

Generally yes, but in the context of what we are talking about its the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time... are you telling me that they lowered their offer because of their race, creed and religion. Next you'll be telling us that it says in their Koran that they have to behave this way.

Get real, you got done in because the people you dealt with had better negoitating skills, were perhaps in a better position, were more business savvy.... a number of possible reasons why.... (regardless of whether its morally right or wrong).

You wouldnt see someone write a thread saying "watch out everyone, I got done in by a white, middle class, catholic family, apparently, its in their nature to be so ruthless and have such low morals"

If you felt that hard done by you shouldnt have sold your house "in a week" and should have waited for a buyer with the right religion and morals.

Do you even realise how far you're mixing up race and religion??? There are Muslims all over the world, including extensive areas in Eastern Europe! So you're saying that a Bosnian Muslim and an Algerian would be likely to behave in the same way? From your reference to Sikhs I'm guessing that you're referring to Asian Muslims - would these be the same Asians that are known to have "a great work ethic" by any chance - along with everybody from Russia and Turkey to Japan, one would presume, since Asia covers a vast area? Accordingly, they are likely to have a great work ethic simply because they're Asians, but have "no honour, integrity or shame" because they're Muslims?

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing indeed.

I got "done" by some people with no honour or shame, they can keep the 10's of thousands of pounds they promised to payand I will keep my honour, thank you.

I have not started a thread saying "watch out for Muslims" I have recounted a story honestly and faithfully

The EA explained the situation to us, told us what to expect and prepared us for it. She did her job.
