Just phoned ke and advise withdrawal requested on tuesday will appear in my account by tomorrow or late tonight. The poor guy sounded really stressed and I feel sorry for them because they may lose their jobs.

Don't pin too much hope on it. He's just quoting the standard BACS timescale, which, as I and many others have experienced, are not applicable at the moment. Throughout the IceSave and Kaupthing crisis, a recurrent theme is that the call centre staff don't know what is going on. I have to agree that, frankly, those in charge are better utilised doing more important things than ensuring their call centre has up-to-the-minute information.

Actually, we should each be comforted by the fact that we are not alone. If it had been only your own transfer that had gone missing, then you would have more to worry about - even then, it would be traceable, but could take a while in the current mess. Since it's happened to so many people, it will have been a deliberate action to freeze things, and all the missing transactions will be easily traceable in bulk and come back in due course.

Exactly same situation as me 3k isa icesave but can longer log in

The Icesave site seems to be working normally this morning, so did you accidentally lock yourself out with a password typo? You should still be able to get a password reset I would have thought and I think you'll find that your lost transfer has been put back into your Icesave account.

I arranged a transfer from KE to my bank on Tuesday night for the following day. The balance at KE showed nil on Wednesday. BACs payments only take 3 days in the real world and therefore should be in the recipient account tomorrow, however it should show as a pending credit on their records today(real time banking). It does not which means that it will be very unlikely the funds will be there tomorrow. So where are they now?
Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes,  thank you and no.

    Thank you.

My husband and myself did three transfers on Monday night, One Chaps, leaving a small amount in the account to cover the Chaps fee, (and they happened to put the interest in the next day, which kept the accout open), and two Bacs which closed the accounts.
On doing the final transactions the page said to print details as once the accounts were closed then you would no longer have access to details (so if you did this before closing your accounts you have proof for the FSCS).

When I contacted Icesave a few days ago about the payments which had left the accounts but gone into Limbo Land, I was told that the payments would bounce back and the accounts would be re-instated.

Last night (Wednesday), our account that still remained open had it's funds returned along with the Chaps fee returned, I can only assume the other two accounts are not yet re-instated as these were Bacs payments and will take a few more days.

If you are still able to access your account but receive this message "The information you have supplied is incorrect"

All you need to do is reset the password.

Enter the User Id & then click reset, it will give you a 5 letter code and almost straight away email you with a second 5 letter code.
Back on the login page enter your user ID and then the 10 letter code, this puts you into your login details where you choose a new password and you are th back into your account.

We both had to do this last night, and can once again view our accounts.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
  • thank goodness for this forum, its nice to now other people are just as worried and getting as frustrated as you with the whole fiasco!

i requested at 09.29 on monday 06th a withdrawal via bacs from my icesave a/c.after 3 days of worrying whether the money would reach my linked a/c, then the money disappearing in limbo, i read on here that people had found it being "correction item posted" back into their accounts.

just logged back into my icesave a/c and mine was credited back yesterday.

so now all i have to do is worry about the same with my kaupthing a/c!

I'm still waiting - no sign of my chaps - and it still hasn't reappeared in KP. I'm getting pretty bored of keep checking my account.

Best thing is - I really need the money this monday as I'm supposed to be exchanging on a house!

Money requested Monday - nothing has arrived, same with my parents.

Why is there nothing on KE Website!? Dreadful service - we should at least received an email or something that says - Look we haven't sent your money, kick back, relax everything is cool etc

Instead, I get the delights of a constant engaged tone.

Can Martin contact anyone at KE and find out what's going on with Transfers from Monday?

Really totally annoyed with KE. Just phoned AGAIN. Made a transfer via their site last Saturday. Still not arrived by BACS to my bank. So thats 4 working days - still no money. Damn disgrace.

I did a BACS transfer from Bradford & Bingley on Tuesday and it arrived in my account this morning, however the BACS transfer I din from KE on Saturday still hasn't arrived.

Can't this been seen as "theft" given the fact that we are all being denied access to OUR money. If it is we should be able to get the police involved and that should bring some focus to the situation from senior ING management!

You shouldn't need any money to exchange contracts!:) Unless perhaps you're completing on the same day.

I need the money back in my account by the end of October which is about £10k. Considering it was done on Tuesday should give them enough time.

Also I noted when I rang their call centre the niceties were swept away and the guy said my name is ..... what do you want to know. Last week its was all very friendly and may I call you by your first name.
