Pity. I bought the sprog an NC10 for Christmas and she loves it, so I was hoping to buy one for the wife's birthday, and that was a great price... Let's hope it will come back into stock again! Thanks to all who post constructively.

Yesterday I bought the MEDION from Aldi and so far very pleased. Only the speakers are under specified but there is a headphone socket. I bought it in preference to the machine at ARGOS due the bigger disk, longer warranty and because the touchpad supports 2-fingered gestures!!
Regarding ASDA Direct and the link I posted to the netbook in ARGOS above, I believe that the ARGOS one is the better value. For approximately the same price you get the same processor speed, graphics and memory, except that the MSI at ARGOS is the next generation processor which consumes less power and therefore the netbook runs longer before the battery needs recharging. It is also running Windows 7 which is a plus or a minus depending on your viewpoint. I cannot find the machine at ARGOS anywhere else at anywhere near that price.0 -
aldi are doing this one for £259 is this a good spec?
The N450 integrates the graphics and memory controller in the processor. So instead of having three chips (CPU, chipset, I/O controller hub), its now down to two (CPU and chipset).

Indeed that's the one and it has been increased in price by £30 in the last few days.0 -
Hello I'm considering buying a Samsung NC10 from argos-clearancebargains on ebay they have very good feedback and at £165 inc delivery and full warranty I think that this seems very good value for money.
I know they have the 3 cell battery but you can use it with a lead to a power socket can't you?Or you can buy one for £30 if you want.
What are you views on this Regards Leachy.0 -
