No dice. I'm guessing that there are separate systems for customers from before and after 30th May 2008. Those from before don't seem to have access to the expanded transaction information.

I don't know about anyone else but I really don't think it's a good idea to attempt a withdrawal whilst the bank is in the process of a take-over as there is a very high chnace things could go wrong and transactions disappear into the ether

  • KE's telephone number is permanently engaged, so just sent them a secure message asking where on earth my withdrawn cash as gone (BACS withdrawals totalling £3k+, sent on Monday and Tuesday this week, which haven't arrived at the destination account).

I decided it was best not to moan so kept it very simple and to the point, in the hope I might get a sensible response. 24 hours to respond? I reckon it could be more like 24 days at this rate.

What with KE and icesave, I've got £7k of 'instant access' deposits tied up in these lying institutions.

Yeah I agree, but I had choice to withdraw a small amount from Kaupthing at the beginning of the week (before we knew about the takeover) because I need the money now...

Atleast for those guys on the old system you can send a secure message, use noobs just have to keep ringing

I have got through to Kaupthing Edge on the phone a couple of times. You just have to be patient - it can take 10 minutes of hanging on before an adviser takes the call.

If you want to ring KE's ordinary landline rather than the 0845 number, these are the numbers to try:

    0115-983 6331

    0115-983 6332

Good call - so could the first person who gets any kind of answer post it on here?

Thanks Caudle. I'll give those number a try. The normal 0845 Kaupthing number just gives you an engaged "beep beep" - don't fancy listening to that for 10 mins !

I agree - has anyone had an answer to this question. I've not had any luck with email, secure message or phone.
