I was so looking forward to another slice of the homemade bread that accompanied last night's home made soup. I picked up the loaf, and an earwig waved at me.
I was very girly - I squealed and threw the loaf away. I don't mind confessing to being girly as I am a girl. I shall put the bread maker on again presently.
Last night we threw away two bin sacks full of toys. All of them were well chewed and either beyond all hope or outgrown. This morning I could see the living room floor, but little bear is remedying that now.
I now need to check the bus times () and then get the pushchair ready () and make a shopping list!!! Actually I am quite looking forward to getting out.
Hugs to all. It is such a worrying time. I do hope all those with aches and pains feel better soon.
I had better get back to little bear. It sounds like he is being adventurous!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Hello and good morning everyone,I had a long lie in today as OH is off for a few days. It's a beautiful day here, warm and sunny.Mind you we had a storm last night at teatime, torrential rain and very bad winds. It just seemed to go black and the storm seemed to come from nowhere. My garden is such a state with stuff blown everywhere so I'll be spending some time out there clearing up and them I'm going to get OH to take me into town as I have some stuff to take back.

Morning all:hello: Had a bit of a lie in as have been up half the night again worrying about Dad, DD and my lack of work.Went to sign on yesterday and they have suspended my JSA cos the Halifax haven't forwarded my mortgage forms yet, so no money on Friday.God knows how we'll survive, even with DD's pittance of a contribution:rolleyes:  Have been ringing round the agencies every day, and they are all panicking too as there's very little supply work about. It's always bad in Sept, but usually picks up in Oct:o
Anyway DD's new landlady has fitted the heater, so she's going tonight to check it's ok, and to sign up for the flat, with a view to moving in a months time:T She was interviewd and taken on permanently the other day, even though they know she's pregnant, so that's a bonus:D
OS wise im doing a veggie curry in the SC, without garlic as DD can't face it at the mo, i'll sling some in my bit though;) then i'll be stardropping the kitchen floors that are a mudbath thanks to the doglets:rolleyes:
HUGGLES to all that are in trouble with savings[strike]what are they!!!??;) [/strike]plus all the poorlies and peed offs, inc KATHY, BETH AND DBS, WHATATWITS FIL, SMOKY, SQUIGGLY AND MORWENNA and anyone else i've missed.:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Just quickly poppin in to say hello. I haven't read through the post yet as am off to w**k in a minute so short of time. I am in a great mood, sun is shining, washing out on the line, gonna do a roast for dinner tonight for a treat, followed by 5 minute microwave cake (tried it last night and it works a treat and is delicious!!).
Have a nice day everyone, hope you are all getting some of this lovely sunshineIf I had a pound for every...... oh sod it, if I just had a pound I'd be richer!0 -
Morning everyone,
DGS has just gone to sleep. :TBeen a busy day for me so I won't be far behind him. Vacumed & washed floors, bathroom, washed & ironed. Made a yoghurt cake. DGS arrived after lunch and we bottled the Elderflower Cordial we made yesterday. We taste tested it too and we both thought it was delicious.
Did the usual watering/weeding this arv & let the chooks out for a run.
Had potato & carrot pancakes/veg/salad followed by banana custard. I got a little sewing done and DGS played next to me. We played parties & he set all the stuffed toys out to have a picnic. So cute at that age. I finally downloaded the pictures of the road and they are here, here & here. You can notice the council boys in the distance chatting by the digger.
Moiliere & Squiggly I hope you've recovered from your falls. I fell over one time during the mother's race at sports day. :rolleyes:It was a horrendous experience.
Still gives me shivers.
mummysaver DGS hands are perfect now. Thanks for asking. No scarring whatsoever. I'm saying it's from the honey.
Pink & HariboHow did you know I wore my new crochet bikini's?
Mrs Mix
Ruby Wouldn't it be easier to just have a shower instead of swishing & swiping.
<hugs> to all those not well or worried about your finances. Hope you all have a great day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Have already been out to post ebay parcels and called in to Netto for a quick shop. I was so full of good intentions about this morning...
Little bear has been placed firmly in his playpen after trying to dismantle the telephone. He is quite grumpy still, so I may go and bring him back down. The real reason I took him up was because I thought he was desperate for a nap.
Last night dear heart broke the news to me that we would be going to his employer's Christmas 'do'. I really don't feel comfortable about it. I don't want to give the wrong impression - I will be having a nice meal in a rather elegant hotel with dear heart, his boss and the one other person in the company together with their wives. I have met them all and they are really lovely people. But it would be only the second time I have not been home for little bear's bedtime, and the only other time dear heart took over. Also I am still struggling with confidence. Once I could have swept in, just like Sybil Ramkin. Now I think I would find it rather nervewracking. And like I say, they are lovely people and it is not as if I will be examined for being 'suitable'. My sister in law, Wannabe Hyacinth, would, I think, be very happy to babysit, and I really ought to leave some dust for her to find to keep her happy. I think I am getting a severe attack of silliness over this.
Well, I am off to load up the bread maker and washing machine. Evil cat is being more than usually irritating so I suppose she wants to be fed or something. It is three hours before I need to leave the house, so I might as well buck myself up and do something.
If I do manage to do something I will let you know.
(and I am so painfully aware, with all the upheaval and savings and such that it is such a minor matterI suppose if I am fretting about going to meet lovely people in a lovely place in a lovely outfit I already possess then at least I can't be too badly off )

why not get your OH along to the doctors and see if there is anything wrong that he snores so much there is a lot they can do these days ,, or consequently get him to sleep downstairs on the sofa:rotfl:
Annxx
thanks Ann. OH had an operation on his nose to straighten it ( broken in a footie match years ago) a few months ago but it hasnt helped at all. He is going to have another op next year sometime to tighten up the tissues in the throat.
The problem is it is definitly putting a strain on our relationship. it is the one thing we fall out about. had a row this morning , i think because we are both so tired as he doesnt sleep properly either due to it and I feel like a walking zombie, ended up crying on the way to work and its due to tiredness. we dont have a spare room otherwise that wouldnt be so bad. He also suffers from anxiety and so I try really hard to keep things on an even keel otherwise we all suffer from his moods . he does sleep on the sofa at weekends. not sure what the solution is until he has this op.0
