Hi zaphod beeblebrox,
Sadly I am still yet to receive my money, CHAPS payment made on 7th October at approx 7:40pm for just over £7k.
I must admit, when I started the thread I didnt really expect 4700 replies and 200,000 views. I seem to have created a monster!
Ive not posted too much on the thread but I have read most of it, its great to have other people in the same boat as me, makes it much easier to stay calm knowing that others are in the same position, so thanks to everyone for their help!

If our money is not in on Monday this is the question we need answered....
" please define what is meant by a manual transaction and please provide detailed information on an accout by account basis to the account holders when payment is going to be made...."

Just a reminder to those of you who ring KE, do not give them any more money by using their 0845 number, you can get through to them on 0115 9836331 or 0115 9836332 (found on www.saynoto0870.com and it worked for me).
To recap my situation: both my husband and I got back the savings money but still no trace of our bonds.
Good luck to all of us!

sorry to hear you're still in same boat as some of us pmorrison. we'll get there. well done for starting the topic though, you must be secrety proud of it's popularity
Theres no secrecy about my pride!
Ive seen it get more replies than the 'how much can you save' thread, still a long way behind in the views though!0 -
@ pmorrison - thanks for starting this thread. Had it not been for this thread and everyone who has contributed to it the long days we've all experienced of waiting for missing money to miraculously reappear would have been unbearable.
@ lukenukum - sorry, i missed your tv appearance. but i thought you were well bearded? your mugshot only shows some designer stubble..? :question:0 -

Hi Pmorrison, thanks for starting this thread. By doing so, many people have got to know each other pretty well through difficult times. - The irony is that you query was if it would be better to action a CHAPS rather than BACS as you felt that this would be more forthcoming and secure. I however went with the usual BACS on th 5th without hesitation as there wasn't any sign of the troubles ahead - I received mine yesterday
Even more difficult for you is the Icesave issue.....Sorry to hear that my friend!
Hopefully everything will work out & you will get your money soon. As will everyone
Good luck

Thanks to everyone for helping me keep my sanity. I am waiting on a considerable sum via CHAPS and I'm resolved to wait 'til Monday morning to see if indeed my bank (RBS) was one of the ones that stopped poor ING from delivering their promise.
This forum has been great and has taught me a few things....
1. There are a lot of sad people who love to use forra (is that the right term?) to cause hurt and anguish and spread hate and lies. They are thankfully a tiny minority and I thank those genuine posters who have held us all together.
2. I will never think that any bank or building society is bombproof and I am spreading my hard earned cash around. Know I should have done this before but God has sought to teach me a lesson with a little worry but saved me a lot of pain.
3. There are lots of people much worse off than me. Pity those who used offshore Icelandic accounts. None of them deserve the pain they have to endure. Our problems will hopefully soon be over but theirs will continue for some time yet.
4. How to block people from this site. If you guys do one thing block that sad git Oblivion - he feeds on hate and publicity and I thankfully can't see his posts or his smug £360K message anymore. Pathetic individual - and the good news is I can't see his reply either. So go on block him!0 -

To be honest Im less worried about the Icesave situation - granted Id rather not be in the situation but, rightly or wrongly, I trust the Government and FSCS to get me the money back. The whole KE/ING debacle is more of a worry as were not sure where the money actually is!0 -
LuKeNuKuM - I dont suppose you have a youtube clip or a link to the iplayer or something of your tv appearance do you?0
