Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer
Comments
-
It is now ten days since my CHAPS of £13,750 made on the "infamous" 08/10 at approx 6.30 pm.
1.00 am on the 18/10/08 nothing into my linked First Direct account.
Very worried, as I also have the same amount "stuck" with Icesave and virtually no money left.
Just emailed tmvc2007, many thanks for taking up the task of contacting ING.
By the way, ING have really behaved in the worst possible way "guaranteeing" that everybody would have got their money back by end of business day today
They are not to be trusted, as are not to be trusted the majority of banks at the moment.
As soon as I get my money back (I am still confident that eventually I will but god how long will that take...???) NO banks will see it again.
This situation is becoming more than unbelievable, it is paradoxable, and unfortunately also starting to be financially unbearable for me.0 -

I am very unhappy at this outcome, and am still awaiting my £30,000 plus transfer from 8th October. What now? I thought I'd be celebrating in town, now am at home with yet more wine! I really feel like I've been lied to by both Kaupthing Edge and ING, having spoken to them over the phone in last few days and they said it would all be fine!
Me too my CHAPS transfer was from 11am 6/10 34k joke is-- one for £2000 from wife's acct also by chaps arrived into acct same day.I have been suspicious about this whole ING setup from the beginning I have had accts with them before.Thing is with me they had sent email stating about clearing all acounts by Friday --NOT TRUE
it's easy for nefarious firms to keep making promises its always going to be in a few days or next Monday or whenever where is the pride that this country and its employees had that pride that in business a promise was what it meant. This whole episode has been totally out of order I admit I had reservations about K/E but was greedy I suppose going for the higher rates of interest well I for one have learned a lesson Never again with a foreign Bank for a start .These people are keeping lawful investors from their savings and somewhere there should be retribution against them as all their statements and excuses are mostly lies it is in my mind tantamount to Fraud and I am beginning to think along legal lines at the moment Enough is enough.
My wife and I also have an ISA acct with Icesave sorry mess we are in:mad:

I got my money back first thing yesterday. Half of it is already destined for Birmingham Midshires.0

Any theories?
I'd like to say that I'm calm and confident that all will be fine on Monday but I feel so untrusting of the whole system now, I don't trust anything I'm being told.
I did a CHAPS transfer morning of the 7th October and the money left my account within minutes checked my bank and still no payment this whole exercise is a farce shouldn't our government be doing something about getting our money back for us!!!!0 -
By the way, does anybody know what's happening with the Icesave situation?
Weren't we supposed to be contacted "shortly" by the FSCS?
Is there a forum going on for the Icesave "fiasco" as well?
Well, good night for now, see you tomorrow...0 -

Possibly the next lineup for Crimewatch?
ING Management Team :
Johan de Wit CEO
Feike Brouwers CFO
Pam Rowland Mortgage Director
Peter Knight IT Director
Simon Andrews Risk Director
Julian Hartley Sales and Operations Director
Richard Doe Marketing
I think we should start emailing these people if we don't get our money on Monday!!!
I've already emailed to the CEO, no reply received at all. Think I read way, way back that their emails have started to bounce back (possibly due to being overused).0 -

Check out the FSCS website http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/
There are some pretty positive noises about progress and it looks to me like that money will be forthcoming within weeks.
Are you watching ING? It looks like you are now in a race with the FSCS regarding Icesave. They seem to be coming up fast on the railings and your three-legged nag of a bank is not over the finish line yet.
What a PR coup that would be for you.....0
