Bump
I have had info from some contributors here but not everyone, by a long chalk. It's hard to respond on PM as I can only reply every 4 mins! Please, PM me or email to lovelife42@hotmail.co.uk - I still think our money will arrive but I know that if it doesn't having all the info in a coherent form will give alot more power to out elbow.
20 people have sent me info - 2 haven't given a figure - total for the 18 is £595750.
All major banks are mentioned as a 'linked account'
Send me the details (to email address, please!) and I'll add them to the database. The more of us there are, the harder it is to ignore.
Good night

What a mother of a PR *ock up this fiasco has been....the marketing comms/corporate relations/pr team at ING will have their work cut out....and a master class in how NOT to manage new customer acquisition. I may have to lead a march on their call centre in Reading next...it's only a short trip down the motorway for me....wonder if the local media would like to see pester power in action!0

Thank you to everyone for all your support, we have definetly stuck together through anger, depression, denial, and then finally acceptance.
As for the people still waiting, I hope it will soon it sorted soon and be reunited with the cash. Good luck!:j0 -

You will note that the update on the ING site is now non-specific waffle about clearing the backlog. No more deadline dates. If I had a choice (and hopefully I will soon), I would not trust them with a penny of my money.
Well, I also have a backup plan - if I've not seen the money or had a satisfactory answer by Wednesday, I'll let ING Direct know that I plan to approach Her Majesty's County Courts, and will actually do so if need be.
http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/infoabout/claims/index.htm
I'll be speaking to a solicitor friend about whether this will be a straightforward County Court claim. If it will, the mere threat is usually enough to get a bank to cough up without actually having to issue a summons.
But, seriously, I really don't think that'll be necessary. I used to work in the service industry, and sometimes delays do occur and deadlines slip despite best intentions. I've more than once promised a report to a customer which should have been doable within the deadline, but where everything just took that wee bit longer leading to the deadline being missed.
I suspect ING Direct thought they'd work on the BACS transactions first, and do the CHAPS transactions later "because those'll go through instantly", but found that everything took just that little bit longer, so they ultimately couldn't get through to the CHAPS transactions in time. Given the sort of volumes they're working with (it's likely to be tens of thousands, remember), even if each took three seconds longer than they'd expected, they'd rapidly fall far behind.
Now I'd best stop chelping and get to bed. Ah'll sithee.CHAPS to Natwest: sent 9/10, RECEIVED 22/10 at 16.350 -
Sadly, I see that it is now 4 minutes past midnight on Saturday morning and no money has arrived. What time exactly do ING to consider to be close of business on Friday?
It's bloody Outrageous!0 -

Still you should get your money early next week. Today already some people got paid.
Next week we should see the remedy of all problems including the breakage of fixed term deals and interest payments where necessary. If this is not the case by next friday i'll be really, really furious and concerned. Thus far am calm and positive.0 -
Did anyone else make a BACS transfer and NOT receive their money today ? My KE account shows a BACS transfer on October 7th and I didn't get any money today. Starting to get really worried for the first time...0
-
I just don't understand why it seems to be all BACS payments that have got through for payment. Why no CHAPS? Mine was CHAPS requested 6.10 in the evening. The money left my account 10am on the 7th.
Any theories?
I'd like to say that I'm calm and confident that all will be fine on Monday but I feel so untrusting of the whole system now, I don't trust anything I'm being told.0 -
I think the best news that we have is that no CHAPS have gone through... OK a couple of people have reported that they had, but I reckon they may have been confued as transfers initiated as BACS, showed as CHAPS in the target account.
It would be well worse if loads of CHAPS had gone through and we were the straglers.... they will have to listen to all of us together:grouphug:0 -
I've been monitoring this thread for a while and the story should have concluded today in me being pleased at the Natwest counter this afternoon. I am very unhappy at this outcome, and am still awaiting my £30,000 plus transfer from 8th October. What now? I thought I'd be celebrating in town, now am at home with yet more wine! I really feel like I've been lied to by both Kaupthing Edge and ING, having spoken to them over the phone in last few days and they said it would all be fine!0
