Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

There are lots of different figures being punted around but the way I understand it, there 160,000 transfers pending, of which 26,000 were CHAPS. I have been confident all day but flagging a bit now. I still live in hope it will happen during the early hours.

Imagine trying to move house in a big chain, where everyone waits for the money to be moved by CHAPS before getting the keys... and getting this sort of service, people would have stuff packed in removal vans for days !!!

My wedge appeared in my Barclays account by CHAPS late this afternoon. I had requested the transfer by Bacs on 08/10

I feel exactly the same. However, can you think of a sensible explanation as to the non-appearance of CHAPS requests?

My (second and final) withdrawal was posted as a BACS transaction on 8th October. It arrived in my linked account by CHAPS late this afternoon.

My balance in the KE account is now zero, so the account is effectively closed ... and will remain so! (Although I suppose there's always the possibility that a small amount of interest will be added at the end of the month. We shall see ...)
