LTSB told me at 5.00pm today that anything sent CHAPS by ING after 2.00pm today won't show until Monday morning. If we assume (rightly-wrongly ???) that today was one huge load of transfers then maybe it was after 2.00 when it actually got sent. I'll wait until monday lunchtime then chase ING.

Not pleased - another weekend of shouting at anyone who comes near me !

Just checked with First Direct as my original CHAPS transaction from 8th (2x£30k) has not arrived. They work "traditionally" so if the transaction has been done today after the cut off point it will not arrive until Monday. Hope this helps some other FD customers. Have also tried to get through to ING but have given up as no doubt every man and his dog is on the 'phone wanting to know where their money is now. Have a lovely weekend all and try not to worry even though it is very difficult not to.:D
I'm off to the pub now to try and forget all about it :beer:

Right now I'm having a conversation with Lloyds who can't answer me about real time or traditional. (in fact - just to make you smile - at one point the well informed customer service just told me that a CHAPS turns into a Bacs if it arrives after 3pm!!! which is nonsense obviously). Now been told real time

Oh well seems Im one of the unlucky many:D my bank works in realtime apparently so should show immediately a payment hits, no payment received as of 6-30 their cut off time!!!

my money transferred on 7 October at 7am arrived late this afternoon in hsbc

Looks like some chaps payments are actually getting thru, but since out of hours, we wont know till Monday!


Question:

Am I correct in saying some chaps transactions have been executed?.....I am getting slightly confused maybe. Someone please clarify: have any chaps request been executed?
