Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

Still wating for my money too. I asked for my money to be transferred from my KE fixed term deposit account to my KE saving account on Friday 10th October (so that I could then use the KE web site to CHAPS my money into my nominated account). I called up again on Monday 13th October, the lady told me that it was best for me to close my account altogether with KE and then the money would get sent by BACS automatically to my nominated account, so I gave them the go-ahead to close my account, but the money is still sat there in my KE fixed term account, I can see it when I login. I called KE on Wednesday 15th October, the lady said that realistically I will probably not see my money in my nominated account until late next week.

I know I should probably not worry about it. At least I can see my £25,000 when I login to KE website, but I am still soiling my pants. Another weekend of worry to look forward to!

Thanks for this schoolrunmum. So it looks as if BACS are still being processed to the detriment of CHAPS.

What percentage of us that start off here are still waiting for our dosh do you think?

I was glad for other people when they got their money at the start of today, now I don't want to hear that everyone but me is getting paid (yes, I know there are still a few of us left, but it's beginning to feel a bit lonely here!)

I agree, have been with first direct 14 years which may sound sad but have lived all over the world and they've never let me down. If we learn anything from this it's how good our 'linked account' banks are. I see no reason for any one to start pulling money from ING they've done a sterling job considering it was only last Tues that they took KE over. Added to which we all panicked and made life difficult by transferring thousands over a matter of days. Why, as someone suggested, would ING go under? I for one am going to wait now and see what offers they put on the table re fixed and general savings. All of their staff that I've spoken to have been more than helpful.

And no, I don't work for KE or ING
