Shall I take that as a no then? Either everyone who has received their payments has gone out to spend it or, as I suspect, the only payments that have been received so far today have arrived via BACS. If that's the case then hopefully all the rest of us are just waiting for ING to press that CHAPS button.

It makes no difference if you instigated Chaps or Bacs as your transfer. All are being processed now as Bacs and your Chaps payment will eventually be refunded. There is no priority over who gets the money first.
I initiated my transfer on the 5th Oct and still nothing, but people who transferred later now have their money. They may be doing a bank by bank block process?

I did put on here that my Bacs payment to my Halifax acct had gone in when I checked at 3.30am this morning while waiting for f1 practice. I requested my money on the 5th, for payment on the 6th, but KE did not do it till the 7th.

Might be worth a reminder that the commitment by ING Direct, given on Tuesday, was:

"In addition to the payments already made, we are now able to confirm that all payments will arrive in their destination bank account by close of business Friday 17 October".

Not 'will be on their way', will be in the destination account. We're watching and waiting, ING!
