Sorry....
...call me a bit cynical, but I am starting to smell a rather large rat here...!
Are we seriously saying that the ING/KE team have been that "snowed under" for the last 7-10 days not to process peoples' transfers, but are now co-ordinated enough to transfer everything TODAY...all at the same time.
Not ONE person here has received anything or had information from their bank that there is monies inbound to the account.
Now - I hope I'm wrong about this, as I'm waiting on £100k myself, but I think today will come and go with only an update on the KE website saying that there have been some "problems with the payments". We will be back to square one next week.
Just think about how much money is "missing" from people, and how much ING are likely to make dragging this out for as long as possible....
What really gets me annoyed is being told something, and then finding out it's a work of fiction.
I sincerely hope I will come back to the thread tonight and eat my words.0 -

Anyone with Nat West received anything today??? I haven't (CHAPS).:think:I CHAPSed last Tuesday (is that a new verb I've created?) and nothing yet in Natwest.
My BACS from the 7th to Natwest came through this morning, my CHAPS to Natwest from the 9th hasn't come through as yet.
Natwest said not to worry, CHAPS is usually credited later in the day as the BACS transfer actually comes through to them the previous day and so is credited at the start of business, whereas CHAPS happens in real time.CHAPS to Natwest: sent 9/10, RECEIVED 22/10 at 16.350 -
Make that a tandem...This is torture, feel like I am cracking up here! Am thinking of stopping looking at bank altogether til tonight - heart sinks each time I see that measly balance.
Take it easy....even if you dont get it today.....there is a cast iron guarantee....from the FSA...........dont worry........my father went through this....in the 1930's.....there was no bailout or FSA then.......the world financial markets are different now.....there are guarantees in place........just that it may take time............Illegitimi non carborundum

Shall I take that as a no then? Either everyone who has received their payments has gone out to spend it or, as I suspect, the only payments that have been received so far today have arrived via BACS. If that's the case then hopefully all the rest of us are us waiting for ING to press that CHAPS button.

I wonder if they are doing what they did last Friday. I bet if I ring ING they will tell me that I am probably one of the......... "very small number of manual payment instructions which are still being processed and which will take slightly longer." (Quoted from the ING update of 14/10/2008)
Has anybody rang this morning KE or ING and been told that they can now access our accounts to discuss with us via the telephone?
I phoned ING today to be told that they cant access individual Kaupthing Edge accounts yet0 -
Just joking.............I am hopeful that I will receive my savings by close of day today0
