My understanding is that it wouldn't be possible for the banks to confirm money is coming in by CHAPS tmw. It just arrives at the bank without warning, unlike BACS which is sent 3 days prior to it arriving in your account.

I know its easy to say but i don't think you should be too concerned that your bank cannot guarantee at this point money is pending for tomorrow.

HSBC - who, incidentally, are by far the best of the big clearing banks when it comes to customer service - can't see anything in my pipeline.

Off to the pub....

Nosiree, no confirmation for me.
PS Maybe if intotheether (RIP) had had a sense of humour he/she wouldn't have lost the plot quite so spectacularly!

yup they said they could see mine - mine were initiated before 2pm on tuesday tho

Not seen any and I've been following the thread. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm sure payments are comin, not too worried anymore. CHAPS payments definately cant be seen coming in as they're pretty much instant. I wouldn't have thought that BACS for 2mrw could be seen either, as of now. But some people have said their banks have confirmed it.....they have good staff thats all i can say. It looks like transfers from 'easy access' accounts (ha ha) will be in 2mrw, but transfers from fixed terms may be Monday. Good luck everyone. Dont worry yet.

I've followed the thread and NOBODY has received any money yet. However, a couple of posters have said that their banks can see a pending deposit for 2mrw, but many others have said that their banks cannot see anything at all in the pipeline!! ??*@!

LLoyds told me that they can see a BACS payment coming into my accn from KE and will be there by midnight- I initiated the transfer by BACS on 7 October
