Spoke to a very nice man in Customer Relations in ING today who said there are 26000 transactions to go through and they will be sent tomorrow by CHAPS, he assures me that the CHAPS system will be able to cope!!!

Anybody who transferred by telephone are the ones that they are treating as manual transactions and will take a while longer. He said all interest lost will be refunded and CHAPS payments returned.

Hope this helps, lets not hold our breath, I won't believe it until I see the money in my account.

Hi Kaylor, would that include outstanding BACS payments?

Spend, spend spend. I feel just about crazy enough right now to do that.

Money? Who'd have it? I was happier when I had none.
  • yep it does make you feel like you wanna blow it all, at least you've had your use out of it then. What good is it stuck in an incompetent institution.

During the week, I opened these ..

Birmingham Midshire (Monthly Interest) No fixed term

  • yep icesave worries for me too. I have opened a Brad & Bings and already have a Birmingham Mids. Will have a look at the Abbey and Coventry.

Just got back from actually doing some work.

I missed the whole intotheether thing, I searched for their posts in avail, but I think they are absolutely right. This is a serious thread and LuKeNuKuM should refrain from joking and visit an English teacher. Write this out 100 times:

What I want to know is how come some many of us have got so much time to post here? How many should be working right now, come on, own up......

I'm semi retired so not guilty of using my work's computer.LOL

My excuse is that I'm pregnant, I've been so sick that I had to quit my job and therefore I can sit here all day (in between trips to the bathroom, doctor etc). As I have most of my savings in Icesave and KE, I feel this is the only place to be (and the jokes are great - I loved the one about Iceland's capital! Thanks to whomever posted that, it made both my husband and myself laugh, which was much needed!)

Me to Luke, oh well, let's hope that at least we have some of our cash back!
