Do you think that one of us should phone ING and ask if they will be making the payments tomorrow by BACS ot CHAPS (regardless of how the transfer was requested in the first place), then they could report it back here?

I never seem to have much luck with themwhen I phone, and I have tried the good cop bad cop thing to no avail, however I know that some of you have struck up communication ...did someone on here not say that they had a direct line with the communications manager ?

If it's not in my account first thing tomorrow I don't know what I should do - my account doesn't update during the day only overnight for BACS payments.

If a CHAPS payment was requested, and they have the means now to honour it,surely, under banking code of practice, they have to pay it by CHAPS?
And TODAY (or yesterday)..........not Friday. That's the whole point of it.
The mystery thickens......but remain confident money will somehow come through tomorrow.
If they did a mass payments by BACS,why has money not left some KE accounts?

Maybe they plan on a mass of CHAPS transfers on Friday? If they have waded through all of the outstanding transactions to check them, there's no reason why they couldn't submitted 1000's for payment on Friday.

Why Friday? Who knows. Maybe they are waiting for the FSCS money to come through? As I have said before, when ING agree to take on the KE customers, they aren't picking up a load accounts with money in them - there isn't any money there! They are simply picking up a big debtors list. They wouldn't agree to do this without being paid and the FSCS are paying them. Maybe they are waiting for the money to come through?
  • ES10 - I spoke to them this am and they are going to try to trace my transfer. They will get back to me within 48 hours. I am assuming that Sat and Sun won't count so that means possibly no news until Monday

Yes I guess it could be. I thought some people tried after it crashed and because nothing happened they tried a second time and it did go through in the end. Oh gosh, i am getting so confused, I don't remember what people are saying anymore.

Don’t worry, I know the feeling. Just remember, if all else fails we should be covered by the FSCS, which was in place when we put our money in. It may just take a little longer. I’m 90% certain I’ll be solvent again tomorrow. :T

I will be absolutely fuming if this doesn't arrive tomorrow. How can anyone be hopeful following the way we've been kept in the dark etc???
  • The bank returned a cheque to me this morning, stamped: 'insufficient funds.'
    Is it them or me?

It's strange how our KE accounts don't show any activity since our oroginal withdrawals - I would have thought that the money would have went back in then come out again on the new withdrawal date (if by BACS)- what do you all think?

The sun is shining, just phoned my bank first direct and they are showing a credit of £11000 coming in to my linked account from ING tomorrow morning, friday, so am I the first? I'm leaving the rest with ING for now because as far as I'm concerned they've done a good job so far. I set up the transfer 0730 last tues morning if anyone is interested.
