Just called HSBC again, sometimes it can be difficult to communicate, what with my accent and theirs, but no, there is no sign so far of a BACS due in tomorrow. As usual, she said that it gets updated all day so to check around 4pm. Normally, when my salary through BACS is due, I am given the figure the previous day by HSBC whenever I ask - sometimes I don't get my payslip till much later so I like to know how much to expect.

Anyway, there is still time and I am an optimist by nature.

It's weird how some people's money was deducted from their accounts and went missing and how some people's never even got deducted.
I wonder why that was?

I think we all have come to rely on this thread to keep us sane. Never mind, I am sure that a new one will open up tomorrow evening when we don't get our money! See you there...

Probably because some people did the transfer before KE crashed and others did it after they crashed.

It is bad enough having such thoughts at the back of our minds without seeing it on here. We need to stay positive.

If they did a mass payments by BACS,why has money not left some KE accounts?

The rules have been thrown out of the window, for now. Wait until we get our money and the dust settles, then start pointing fingers.

They will know about BACS being received today but won't know about tomorrows run until the morning. If everyone rings in the morning they should be able to tell them if its BACS. If not it wont be coming through. CHAPS can be anytime but I dont think any will be CHAPS now.

Yes I guess it could be. I thought some people tried after it crashed and because nothing happened they tried a second time and it did go through in the end. Oh gosh, i am getting so confused, I don't remember what people are saying anymore. :doh:

I have been lurking on this thread since it started. I did a BACS tx on 7th October. According to my bank, my linked a/c will NOT be credited tomorrow. They said if it was due in tomorrow via BACS they would be able to see it by now
