Neither do I - I am just saying that as we dont know what is going to happen we should just wait and see - either way lets hope we all get our money on Friday

My guess is that they did a mass BACS payment yesterday which will reach our accounts tomorrow. If they intend to refund the CHAPS payments to those that requested them, then I doubt that they are not going to go to the expence of processing everybodies payment via CHAPS.

I know that last Friday's payments were via CHAPS, but I doubt that they had a grasp of the numbers involved at that point, which is why they stopped the transfers.

Good luck all, either way, this thread is sure to race past the 3000 mark come Friday morning...if not before :eek:. I shall miss it in a strange way .

Yes - BACS does seem to show the day before. I contacted my bank yesterday to enquire whether any of the Kaupthing transfers were showing as pending on my account, and was told not, but my (rather minuscule) final wages from work were showing as pending, and were credited today.

I have now left work to become a student and am relying on my Kaupthing money for living expenses. It's my birthday tomorrow and the best present would be to know that the money is pending and will be in my account on Friday... _party_

One of those middle of the night confusions for me. How come there is a post by Martin dated 14th October 12.00 at the beginning of this thread that I don't recollect having seen in date order on 14th October. Or have all youse seen it and it was just me that missed it?
