    That's a b****y disgrace. What a total banker

Is no one getting any payments through at the moment? I thought it meant all transactions would be completed by Friday, not that all transactions would be completed on Friday. Seems a bit fishy all this.

If nothing turns up, we need to get some co-ordinated action but how do we do this? I'm a humble Mum at home. Guess just wait and see waht happens Friday.

If we are getting our payments via BACS on Friday then I think that the banks which manage our linked accounts should be able to see them in the pipeline at some time on Thursday. I'm looking forward to reading the first posts tomorrow from people who have phoned their bank and had confirmation that their money is on its way.

The UK government have seized it now, only another £2.49 Billion to go.

We could keep guessing and chew this over and over for days. My suggestion is that we see what Martin has to say in tonight's programme and wait until Friday. If nothing has happened by then:

    fiiiiiiiiiiiiight

    PS
I bought a lucky dip Lotto ticket for tonight. If I’m lucky I’ll buy you all a virtual drink, from Barbados.

If you are really unlucky, you will win the jackpot and spend the rest of your life in untold misery permanently in a state of stress, agonising over where you shoudl put your money, constantly opening and closing accounts, transferring money between them, and monitoring internet forums to spot the next imploding bank in time for you to able to do something about it. :-)

I still maintain that we are very unliklely to receive our money by Friday. What is so magical about Friday? If money was trickling through all week with a completion day of Friday that might be reassuring. However, what is basically being said is that they refuse to make ANY payments for 7 whole days (nothing paid from last Friday to this Friday) without giving any explanation. This is a stalling tactic. Come close of business Friday there will be a lot of angry people who will be left worrying over the weekend with nobody to contact.

No, I don't have a crystal ball...just a very strong gut feeling. They have been economical with the truth, to put it politely, since the takeover. Why should anything have changed now?

Maybe this time next week the FSCS will take this situation more seriously. I guess there's nothing we can do until then.

STOP SCAREMONGERING. You have nothing to base your speculation on and this of post is no help to anyone. If you have a problem with your gut then go to the doctor.

If only I could spot imploding banks, I wouldn’t need to be on this thread.:wall:

I dont know what is going to happen on Friday - hopefully we will all get our money but I think in the circumstances ING have provided a decent service - updates on the website/emails to customers-- I think we should wait until Friday before passing judgement
    Keep the Faith:cool:
  • I have just found the second email (sent yesterday)- in my JUNK folder - does this confirm the second email was a load of rubbish?!
