    Apathy is not an option.

I’m still forming my private army, to invade Iceland and capture all their puffins, bring them back to the UK and use them as currency. So far the army consists of one General, me.

The army will be known as:

    Puffin International Snatchers Squad.

We are currently considering a takeover by ING, when we will be known as:

    Puffin International Snatchers Squad ING

    Any recruits?

lol We have all completely lost our marbles in this madness, me included. Bigg, I'm in :p

  • Great news on the ING transfers. Spoke to someone at ING (Customer Services Manager - rang me back) who implied the delay was because they were working out how to automate them - makes sense now I suppose.

Someone asked how to check out the banks. I was also wondering how to find out CDS rates. Thisismoney.co.uk now have a section where they publish the latest Fitch ratings and CDS rates info, handy especially if you track "your" banks over time :-

    http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/bank-strength

As members of Joe Public we shouldn't have to do this of course but I certainly will be taking a more balanced view of which banks to deposit with in future - not just looking at the highest rate (even though I always keep deposits under the compo limit - it's not worth the stress!!)
  • MABLE, all payments will be made BY friday, NOT ON FRIDAY (close of business)

I was advised by KE that if I didnt receive my money by say 16:00 to call them, maybe you could do the same, albeit im now very confident

Puffins? Only puffins? They owe us at least a couple of those nice geysers they have for everything they've put us through. I propose forming an auxiliary corps tasked with the job of bringing those back to the UK. We could call it Geyser International Transfer Squad.

My bath is probably big enough for a walrus or two.
  • i think it should not be Puffin International Snatchers Squad ING

but Puffin International Snatchers Squad Over Feeble Financing - that's what I'd like to say to Kaupthing Edge sometimes!

Maybe their payments had reached the clearing bank and were frozen there and able to be defrosted on Friday, however the rest of us - our money never left KE?[/quote]

That is a general term that I have heard a lot and really worries me!

Perhaps the money that I tried to withdraw on 7/10 went to K in Iceland ie away from the umbrella of KE GB. icon13.gif
  • Still nothing. I initiated my transfer on the evening of Tuesday 7th October.

There are a very small number of manual payment instructions which are still being processed and which will take slightly longer.
