Well, Well some news with actual dates on it !
Oh doesn't pester power work ...they are probably so heartily sick of us at the call centres ..I think that they'll be celebrating too! At least now anyone who doesn't get their money on Friday should have their case individually looked at
  • Mable the worst that can happen to you is would have to wait a little longer. The most exciting thing for you and all of us right now is when the first person on this thread posts that they have received their withdrawal. One step at a time. We probably all will have to wait until tomorrow now as it is 16.45.
  • I don't blame them for taking their time on this. Between a transfer I made at Tuesday lunchtime and then around 9.30am on Weds, 7000 BACS transfers had been made. If you work out how many at all other times, with them all having to be clicked 'ok to transfer', I reckon they have done this in double quick time. Especially if they have only had a team of two to look at the odd automated BACS/CHAPS transfer... I will probably keep my money there (well half of it) and put the other half with Egg in their fixed rate.

I am eyeing up B&B though as an alternative/third instant access account.

I dont think there is any dispute that these matters take time. However, the lack of information & conflicting advise coming from different people fron ING escalated peoples fears - A simple statement of what was going on behind the scenes would have been more than suffice & many people would willingly have supported their actions

At least we know more than we did at lunch time. And it's an official statement on ING's website in writing. I feel more comfortable (although, only seeing my money is the only thing that will make me completely comfortable!).

    Apathy is not an option.

I’m still forming my private army, to invade Iceland and capture all their puffins, bring them back to the UK and use them as currency. So far the army consists of one General, me.

The army will be known as:

    Puffin International Snatchers Squad.

We are currently considering a takeover by ING, when we will be known as:

    Puffin International Snatchers Squad ING

    Any recruits?

I am quite happy with the latest update on the ING site, all most of us have wanted was a concrete statement giving times and dates when we will recieve our transfers, we now have that, if we all carry on not believing anything they say then we'll all be grey and on Valium by Friday. I'm going to chill out now and get everything done I've neglected over the last few days. Call me naive if you like, but we have to start trusting sometime.

I agree. And the fact that they've given us a definite timeline has lifted my mood hugely.

unfortunately from the way i've read it your payment *might* be in the group ofa 'slightly later' payments mentioned on the site. the admins will be looking out for these duplicate payments i'd imagine very closely and hence take a bit v- i'd say it would unlikely you'd end up with a duplicate payment.

Well it is my own fault. As long as I have my money by the end of October then no problem. Also if the payment is slightly delayed then I may receive interest up to the point I receive my money.

    Fingers crossed.

Puffins? Only puffins? They owe us at least a couple of those nice geysers they have for everything they've put us through. I propose forming an auxiliary corps tasked with the job of bringing those back to the UK. We could call it Geyser International Transfer Squad.
