Yes! The £4000 BACS Transfer that was posted on 6th October arrived in my current account today and is showing as a fully cleared balance.

I'm only short of £100 now, and that Transfer was not posted until 8th October so I'm sure it will come next week.

So it looks like ING have been as good as their word. Thanks, ING Direct!

I withdrew my money last Saturday and have only received it today, however they did not pay me the additional interest on the delays it took, which would have been 2 days! Bloody Natwest/RBS has made money from our pain/frustration!

Well my Wednesday 8th CHAPS transfer request is still sitting somewhere in mid air. HSBC shows no credit, KE accounts shows debit + £20 last Wednesday. So a weekend of worry follows. I know some of you have had success. Do wish that when you do post a success you would state 1, The date of the supposed withdrawal from KE and 2, The method of withdrawal (CHAPS vs BACS)
Good luck to all - and thank you to the (now) TV personalities that have championed our cause.

    1. Initiated on Sunday 5-Oct
    2. BACS

Don't worry, your payment is on it's way. I don't think that anyone who made a withdrawal on Wednesday (BACS or CHAPS) has had theres yet. Yours will go through early next week.

I thought CHAPS were same day transaction if this is the case someone owes you interest, I would investigate this with KE I suspect the money didnt leave them until today.

Many of us on this thread believe what KE did was illegal based on the fact that there was a message on their website throughout last weekend stating that they were solvent and were working in the Business As Usual mode. In fact they were not an their payments out operation had been suspended.

This really is something that the ING should be investigating to see if the KE CE is personally liable here.
  • I have a £7k transfer initiated on Tuesday from KE which has not arrived. However, I have significantly more confidence in the interconnected IT systems of the banking system than I do in their interconnect lending and management. Therefore I expect at some point to either see the transaction complete or be unwound. Two Icesave transactions I made for a similar total have successfully (not that that is quite how I would like to put under the circumstances) unwound back to Icesave.

Thankfully I took screen shots of all the transactions so I have a record in case the systems go awry.
  • Please add me to the list.

I made a BACS transfer on Monday and then a CHAPS transfer on Tuesaday and have received neither into my linked account with First Direct.
