Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

Shouldn't we who have made CHAPS transfers and paid the £20 fee have the fee refunded as all the BACS transfers seem to be done as CHAPS (with presumably no fee). Still waiting for CHAPS transfer made after 2pm Tuesday !

My BACS transfer to my linked RBS account has also just appeared late this afternoon (Friday)-requested at 9.54am on Monday 6th. It says EBP OPC CONT PMT SUSP beside it....hmmmmm, wonder what the 3rd and 4th groups of letters stand for....Incidentally I sent money TO Kaupthing on the morning of Friday 3rd. It didn't show up till Wednesday 8th but was credited as reaching them on Tuesday 7th so I still had a good bit of faith in Kaupthing. The rest of my money is staying with them as per usual

So I can get some sleep over the weekend, can anyone say whether a BACS/CHAPS transfer effected on Tuesday has arrived yet?

Based on the evidnce here, it appears not.

Well, i out of 2 of my transfers has now shown up in the recipient account - although I'm not sure if its the BACS from Monday, or the CHAPS from Thursday.....

It does appear that things are starting to move, albeit rater slowly though.

I had the same thought then concluded it wasn't time for jokes, particulalry as my life's work is split between KE, ING and Icesave.

Goverment bonds, cash under the flooboards, gold coins buried in the garden, a couple of platinum rings and a safe from now on.

I am still awaiting mine and this was done on the 7.10 via bacs. However I am sure if the forum members had not brought this to the attention of the media we would be waiting. Thanks to everyone and the person from ING who did his very best to keep us informed.

You are right blowupiceland it's no joke. That the call centre staff will be out of a job is not funny. Also I have spoken to them into the evening after 8pm so I don't think it's right that they finish at 5pm. They are having a hard time too. I for one really feel for them at the moment.

I asked for a BACS sunday and a chaps Monday, neither has been received. They were from KE Isle of Man, has anyone actually received any payment from KE IOM??

From comments earlier in this thread, I fear for you that KE IOM is a different beast altogether, and has nothing to do with what ING have taken over.

If so, you may be at the mercy of the FSCS to get your money back I'm afraid
