Wow, never knew that!
Wondering if you had a link to the stats for this one? I'd love to learn more about it and be able to know more in future.
Thanks in advance

No I don't have any stats on that. I can only base my statement on my own sightings from the people who live on the estate I do. I personally live in one property of eight (A block of many I add). There are 3 of us that own/mortgage but lease our property and live there. There are two that own/mortgage but lease their property and rent it back to the council and have housing benefit paid to them. 2 properties that are owned by the council and have non working families living there so I guess they are having their rent paid by housing benefit and one woman that was on housing benefit when her kids were small but now they have gone she got a job and pays £400per month.
So out of the 3 properties the council owns they are getting £400 from the persons wages and £800 from housing benefit.0 -

But as you're obviously at home and a little short of things to do, this link may help: Learn Direct
regarding your earlier post #53
if it didn't annoy you i'd hate to think what u would do to someone who did, wants worse than wanting to bury someone alive.
i bit hypocritical how you would resort to this kind of action when preaching to the OP about lying and over exaggerating her situation

Secondly - doesnt it show what a wonderful tolerant non racist bunch we true Brits are that none of us are reporting you for insulting our national religion? If you had said that about the Koran in a muslim state, you could have had your life threatened.
Ahh well I'm going to be mischevious here...
Statisically speaking the majority of Brits don't actively participate in any religion so it could be argued that the UK is secular and has no 'national religion'. The Church of England is a johnny come lately, existing a mere 474 years. Christianity in general is a blip in the human history of this isle, only arriving in the 1st Century AD.
If our national religion was the one which has been followed the longest, we'd be Pagan

Whatever the pedigree, it is still our national religion - hence Church of England. My point was how very tolerant we are. Why do people nit pick on here - well, obviously because they have no justified argument and seek to detract from that.
avinabacca - I said I would not respond to the person who told me to return to Rome. If you are going to nit pick, do it more carefully (or return to your cheap booze thread

thanks for the civil reply NDG  will say no more as its would be pointless as we are both rightToday 1:11 PM hethmar
Sadly I think the answer to your question re your stupidity is a resounding "Yes".
So there was a country called israel when the jewish religion was started?
(and why the heck is this now a religious debate lol)
And whilst we will all agree that most of us technically are immigrants to this country - council housing, NHS and tax credits werent available when we came, nor had we paid for them to be available.
Agrees people just died on the streets back then freezing to death, starving to death etc which is now what you expect immigrants to do now in this century?
Or do you just want to pack them all off home and have all the brits in there country sent back here to live in the now newly vacant houses?
You told me to go back to Rome (which is now a city in Italy, not a country by the way) and I replied that I was not from Rome so unfortunately wouldnt be offered a pad in the city. The Italians (where Rome is) have recently been rounding up and sending home illegal immigrants because of the explosion of crime including rape and murder by the way. Do you want that to happen in this country if we continue to not set a limit to incomers?
Highlighted the important bit ... are they rounding up the immigrants that arent illegal (and isnt that what happened back in germany with the legal ones in the 1940's?) and either way im guessing the portugese you were going on about earlier with the shops and signs arent likly to be illegal so your point is what? ... im pretty sure the UK are already doing similar just maybe not on the scale (certainly enough caught at customs etc)
If they are illegal imigrants claiming housing benifit etc then im in full support of sending them home etc btw ... but only the illegal ones ... why punish the innocent ?
I shant reply to any further postings on here, but the suggestion someone made about evening classes may be a thought for you. May be so you could learn to construct a sentence and learn where the countries of the world are.
I tried evening classes unfortunatly im not suited to studying no matter how hard i try It was the same at school ... but do i expect an easy life becuase of that?? Am i here moaning and saying im going to lie? (and i do keep going back and trying again every so often on different courses ... which i pay for myself) ... sorry im not as clever as yourself (though with your comments and posts i class that as a good thing)
and sorry for anyone reading this thread .. although not really off topic with the OP's posts its not really to do with getting a council house any more (or lying to?)The modern state of Israel was created in the late 1940s.
The Jewish religion and ethnic group comes from the area known now as Israel, plus some bits of other surrounding countries.
Have a quick read of the Old Testament - the crossing of the Red Sea, David, King of Jersusalem, etc.
Or the New Testament, where Christ is born to a Jewish mother in Bethlehem (whcih is just south of Jersusalem).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

....ok, I'm guessing you are either a) having a joke or b) suffering from some mild form of autism which renders you incapable of judging human behaviour based on vocal or written indicators.
Do I literally go around killing people I disagree with? Obviously not, unless I'm writing this from Broadmoor...and I'm quite sure they don't allow free and unmonitored Internet usage.
... it wasn't a literal comment - if I wanted to buy someone alive literally there'd be a whole host of logistical issues to deal with, not least of which the extortionate costs of hiring mini-diggers these days.
It was meant in a debating sense...as in burying someone alive in a mountain of arguments to refute their position.
I hope we can put this one to bed now... unless anyone wants to get an arrest warrant issued “Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

So that's why I love Halloween so much or could it be that some think I'm a complete witch lol0 -
My point was how very tolerant we are. Why do people nit pick on here - well, obviously because they have no justified argument and seek to detract from that.
Isn't tolerance good? I agree that we are a tolerant lot about our national religion but I'd imagine that's because the majority don't give a rat's behind about it. Try saying awful about Princess Diana or football and I bet loads of people will be jumping up and down.
The main argument on this thread was one of entitlement I believe; whether families who are coping adequately financially should be allowed social housing on the basis they want to better their lives. My stance on that is no, they should not.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Again, I'm not nitpicking - I'm simply asking you to explain how setting "a limit to incomers" will prove a deterrent to illegal immigrants who, by definition, have arrived in the country despite current immigration law.
Please can you answer this question?
Oh come on, don't be silly.
