Mummysaver, everything has settled down nicely between DD2 and OH, i suppose there will be many more arguments in the future, they are still looking for their own place and although i will miss her, we could all do with our own space.
Thanx for asking BSB XX0 -
, it's pouring with rain and I slipped and fell in a huge great puddle right outside the bank.
I went skidding along on my knees and just lay there in a sopping wet heap clutching my handbag. I'm sat here with a bag of frozen peas on my ankle, which is so swollen it looks like my right breast has slipped down there!
mummysaver do you mind me asking where you work , those reductions are fab0 -
Hello darlings
Better late than never. Been trying to catch up on sleep and now the shower has broken again (brand new bathroom only finished in July) so was trying to get hold of the fitters most of the last hour.
Donny-gal - no I never ring for advice from PCW, I wouldn't trust them with a barge pole, and yes I did get help from a techie. He agreed that the only thing was a complete wipe. And the advantage is (trying to look on the bright side) that the puter is running SO much faster now there is hardly anything on it *chuckles*
Whatatwit - Breakdown cover is wonderful, even if it does take them 90mins to get to you! We have the car through motability so it comes as part of the package which is lucky
Kaat - we have an external hard drive so usually back up on there, but it was just sheer bad luck and forgetfulness that meant we hadn't done a back up since March!
Sybil - thank you. xx, and you are doing SO well, you should be very proud of yourself
Beth - sorry to hear you weren't here to miss me, and I sure missed you missing me
Mioliere - broken toes are agony, I have done it a time or two and there is no pain like it. I have arnica gel in the house now and that gets put on as soon as I do something like that! By the way, did you make the ham and egg pie? Did I ask that already? Sorry if I did.
Anniestar - hi honey and thank you *hides shoes under cushions on sofa*. Have you checked the freezer and the microwave? I know people who put strange things in both those places when busy and/or stressed!:rotfl:
PippaS - things are gong back to normal except the shower has broken down again so maybe that was the third and last thing!!
Squiggly - Thank you hon. (as an aside; every time I type your name I miss out the 'u' and have to go back, it's really annoying me..:rotfl: ) Hope Uni is going well for you honey, must be a culture shock to be back.
*hugs* to all those who need them and congrats to anyone celebrating today:beer:
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
That's better!
I'm having one of those weeks.....so hugs to all - I've not kept abreast of what's going on.
Yesterday I managed to catch a power lead in the hoover and it wound round the brush and ripped the whole socket from the wall....luckily none of the wires came out but made a lovely hole in the plasterboard  DH got that all fixed last night. The TV and dvd player died at the weekend.....luckily it was just a fuse in the tv but the dvd player is well and truly dead (god knows why) and I've just gone to put the bread machine on and it's refusing to work, making a whirring/clonk noise.....grrrrrrrr!!! (I've mixed the dough by hand - now my carpol tunnel will play up).
To top it all off I've had an ebay buyer from hell...he opened a dispute a day after winning an item saying it hadn't arrived....I pointed out that I can't actually post an item at 9pm in the evening when the auction finished and him to expect it by 9am the next morning......about 50 emails later he stopped the dispute, I've sent the item and now he's saying he's not recieved it and has had paypal withdraw the money yet again .....grrrrr....first time I've ever had a problem on ebay like this.
 Never mind eh.
On a plus note I finished making a rather gorgeous monkey for DD1 yesterday - she's made out of oddments (photo in my facebook for those on it - pm me if you want the details)

Hi all - it's me, Hopalong! I managed to get the ironing done by sitting down; not the easiest way but at least it's done. I've spent an hour or so sat down on the sofa but thought I'd better walk around for a bit because my ankle felt stiff. It looks worse than it feels, but suffice to say that they won't want me in Strictly Come Dancing this season!
Beth - sometimes having money is just as much of a hassle as not having it. Right now, it's a real worry deciding where to put it that's safe. One of my friends has decided to take her savings out and buy gold, and another wants to keep his under his mattress!
Well, the sun is shining at last and the sky has gone just the tiniest bit blue. It's been so dismal all day.
Well, I'm going to have a cuppa.
See you all later.

I've not kept abreast of what's going on.Didn't mention it as I didn't want to get thrown out of the Money Saving threads

Hi everyone,
Rarely manage to post now but try to read the thread most days.
Stories about falling remind me about taking DS and little friend to school when they were about five. I tripped and measured my length before getting up rather hurriedly and pretending it hadn't happened. Then I heard a little voice behind me saying "I didn't know mummies could fall over" followed by "Neither did I".
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
That has cheered me up so much.
I am feeling rather proud of myself. Tonight for tea there is home made bacon and vegetable soup with bread from the bread maker. The kitchen is tidier than when I started (:o regrettably not much of an achievement) and I have finished knitting the scarf for my American pen friend and started a twirly whirly girly scarf, using a circular needle for the first time. I have put three loads in the washing machine and I shall round up a fourth before bedtime. I am now going to rescue a grumpy little bear from upstairs - back down stairs to once again marvel over the little Thomas the Tank Engine scootaround that I finally excavated for him to play with.
Feel a bit off still, but actually quite positive mentally. I shall practise my positive thinking all tonight.
Thank you everyone for the hugs and kind wishes.
Mummysaver - I am going to try and hang on because I want to see how all the weird symptoms work out without the pills.
And tomorrow I am supposed to be meeting my friend at a place that requires two buses. There is not a smiley to represent knees knocking, so I shall settle for this :eek:

KAAT LADY ((((((hugs))))))) Hope you feel better very soon as well. Ann Rupert is a very lovely(normally very good)x breed (half Norwegan forest) boy very loving. He is also one in 14 million-he was a fertile male tortie! added to that he has an extra cromosome and is classed as handicapped. When he tried to wee on my foot he was just being naughty as I had told him off for trying to chase Lucy(the old girl)he loves being cuddled and sung to, fears no one or anything, has the growl(there is a legend re the Norwegan Forest cat that their growl rids the forrest of the trolls that dwell within) and is also a star of a Vet school. Due to his conditions he has had papers written about him!!

Well despite my sister's best efforts to distract me I have achieved all I set out to do. Manage to get the strawberry wine fermenting, raspberry jam, strawberry jam, redcurrent jelly, spitfire sauce, green tomato chutney, stewed apples and tea made.Kitchen is even tidy and tea will be ready in half an hour.;)
Planning to relax tonight and watch Jamie.
Have a good evening everyone.
