Not so much a hater of MS, more a hater of bad customer service.
I am sure that the marketing people are all patting each other on the back and congratulating each other on how wonderful a ploy it has been to get the 360 in the media, albeit getting bad press (all news is good news).
This will just breed contempt, and as has been pointed out, it has happened before with other must have consoles from the past. This occasion has been different though, on all past occasions people have tried to get them in the shops, by queuing all night etc, first come, first served etc. This has brought us the high street pre-ordering culture, which gives consumers the confidence to part with their hard-earned cash in the safe knowledge they will have the 'must-have' gadget in time for Christmas.
Unfortunately the recent 360 events, will now make people think twice about pre-ordering. I mean what's the point if you aren't guaranteed a launch day product?
A worldwide console launch has never been successfully accomplished before, for a very good reason. I think that MS are now finding out why!0 -

Thanks; I would have expected some form of official announcement from them though?Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Hi folks,
Still thinking of paying silly money for one on ebay??? I just did a recon of prices of completed listings on the x360 systems and the price seems to be stabilising, probably due to loads of people deciding to sell their systems.
As of the 6th Dec evening
X360 Core systems fetching around 330quid. + about 20quid p&p.
X360 Premium package (fully loaded) around 450quid + about 20quid p&p
The above is only approximate, but they seem a little lower than the insane prices being fetched 2-3 days ago.
Hope this helps out people trying to source one.
On a personal note having already got one at normal price I would say that the console is already expensive enough at that price and I feel people paying 100+quid over the RRP are silly and should wait and pay standard price.
I was only looking on ebay to see if it was worth repacking mine in the box and selling it !!! After all if someone is daft enough to give me 500 quid plus for it I would be happy to let it go. Though 330quid on ebay ain't worth the hassle of selling it!!
Best chance I think is to go round the shops first thing on Friday (9th) as I was told by Virgin that more shipments are expected then.
Ta for now

Also, I phoned Asda-Walmart, Pudsey today to ask when their next batch of 360's would be arriving. The answer was, "Not before Xmas".0 -

Got make some money somewhere I suppose.. after all, Bill G*tes must be on his last few coppers by now.. :snow_laug
I suppose if you need hope go into the shops and see the original XBOX with games for £79.99 not bad for something that was £299.99 on launch 3 years ago!
If you hate Microsoft so much, why buy their products as all? Thats what really gets me.
I hate Microsoft so much etc. Why then buy their products?0 -
Unbelievable how people are still so keen and desperate to inflate the pockets of a big company that treats them like dirt. If MS lets us pre-order their product and then simply doesn't deliver what we've paid for then why bother ???
I cancelled my order immediately once I realised I couldn't get one on the release date which had made me very angry. Can you also believe that after all this wait, this consol doesn't even support high-def DVD. Just wait until the PS3 is out and see what will happen to the XBOX price (it doesn't seem that the current games are such a massive leap forward from the first XBOX/PS2 anyway). Certainly the second (improved) version next year will have HD support for DVD to market the second wave (which will also probably be a black box).Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -

Whose inflating whose pockets? I am not certainly inflating Microsofts pockets. Has Microsoft treated me like dirt? Not that I know of.
And Microsoft did not let you pre-order their items, it was more like you pre-ordering from a 3rd party seller. I don't think you were buying directly from Microsoft were you?
People weren't complaining when the PSP was out of stock as much as they are complaining about Xbox 360? A personal vendetta against Microsoft perhaps?0 -

I don't really think it was Microsoft's fault, but the retailers. I got mine pre-ordered mine from Dixons in Sept after my friend pre-ordered his from Play.com in August, but he never got his.
From what I have read it's Play.com and Amazon that had the most complaintsYou'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0 -
