Got make some money somewhere I suppose.. after all, Bill G*tes must be on his last few coppers by now.. :snow_laug
I suppose if you need hope go into the shops and see the original XBOX with games for £79.99 not bad for something that was £299.99 on launch 3 years ago!

My email seems to be worded slightly differently from yours.
That was like the 1st email I got on 21/11/05
The wording on the 2nd email on 01/12/05 dropped the bundle reference and talked about 'your order'.
Fingers crossed were not going to get stitched up.
I'll fire an email off to game.net and get it clarified.

Rang this morning because I'd had no delivery call and after over half an hour waiting on the phone told there had been a mix up and my delivery details had been erased from the order! so they didn't know where to deliver to! and they would ring me back. Had a call back then to say that the product shouldn't have been on the internet on Friday because they didn't have any hard drives in stock (?) and they weren't likely to receive any before xmas!
Anyone else who ordered on Friday - did you order the £360ish package that included the hard drive/core system and games.
Any info appreciated before I send them another e-mail.
Many thanks,
Same as above, got the hard drive story. Rang again tonight & they said it would be weeks til delivery because I live in a remote area?? 15mls south of Aberdeen, town population 18000, on the only main road from anywhere south of Aberdeen is not too remote, in fact every Xbox that goes to Aberdeen goes past where I live.
Getting annoyed now, they said a manager would call back in 15mins...yeah right, never happened!
Anyone know where to find Comet T&C's as they have taken money from my account and I want see what the conditions say?0 -
I think I'm going to cry. A per my previous post, I ordered a Core package with 2 games this morning from Comet (10:16am), then received the following email:
"Dear Mr XXX,
Thank you for choosing to shop at Comet.co.uk - the home of Every Day Low Prices.
Due to an order query, your order has been passed to our administration team to be completed. You will normally be contacted by one of our team within twenty four hours of placing your order. They may contact you by phone or email, so please check your email account before contacting us.
When we contact you, we will confirm:
If your order has been accepted, the date and time your order will be delivered to you.
If your order has not been accepted, the reason why it could not be completed, and what to do next.
Please note: Due to this processing delay we may not be able to offer you the delivery date and time you originally selected, and in this situation we will allocate the next available delivery time and date.Should you find that this date or time is no longer suitable please contact us on the telephone number below to re-arrange a suitable delivery date.
Please quote your surname and postcode when you contact us so that we can retrieve your order. This will help us to deal with your query more effectively.
When we advise you that your order has been processed, you do not need to call us to confirm your delivery, we update our delivery system at the same time as we confirm the delivery date with you (either by email or telephone).
Yours sincerely

I called them to find out what this was about and the CS rep I spoke to told me not to worry, and that someone would call me today to resolve why my order had been handed to the manual processing team.
I've just checked my emails, and have received this...
"Dear Mr XXX,
Thank you for choosing to shop at comet.co.uk
Unfortunately we have not been able to process the order you have placed for the following reason:
We were unable to process using the payment details provided.
If you still wish to continue with your order, please call our direct sales team on the number below.
Due to our security procedures we will have deleted your original order details so our direct sales team will ask you for the full order details again.
Yours sincerely

I'm just so gutted. I know exactly what they're going to say.
This is really unfair as I wasn't told what the problem with my original order was, and no one has called me to sort it out. I just can't believe they'd cancel the entire order... there's just not a chance they'll have any left now
How would you people approach them about it?0 -

I've looked on the Comet website and under the help section no.3 lists the t&c's but there's nothing mentioned in there about this situation.0 -

If you read back over this thread you will see the Virgin orders were taken this morning even though they have no stock. So unless you got on really early Monday evening, you don't have a chance in a warm place.0
