for the meat, i would suggest contacting a local farm shop or farmer and buy 1/2 a pig or lamb. This may work out cheaper and be better quality meat. I did see a reply on another thread where someone said they got it for £118!
Also with the teabags, Tesco always have an offer of either 50% extra or BOGOF so buying in bulk is a bit pointless i think. You also have to think where will you store it all. If you put it in the garage, some of the items can get damp and ruined.
Why not open a basic saving account and only use it got grocery money so that you have to go into the branch to withdraw the set amount each week or fortnight?Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -
Also if your taste buds will allow you to drop down a brand and buy tesco basic tea bags you could save more than half the money you would have spent0

Yes maybe i should scrap the teabags and just buy 3 boxes and i guess i could get a clubcard plus.
It's just peace of mind knowing that more or less we are covered for the next 6 months by which time we should have sorted ourselves out. With having the children i did think it would be nice to know that we have enough food. I have the veg covered and i cook everything from scratch but sometimes i get side tracked with special offers.Kind Regards
