Soappie - holiday sounds great - thanks so much for the mail - I need to plot it all to make sense and will reply tomorrow

Vali - well done on clearing the river - you are braver than me, I'm scared senseless of rats - which reminds me, shirleypark is another flylady missing in action

Holly well done on the carboot

I don't feel I've got very far today but I'm shattered. Quick list update and then I need to entice OH to the bedroom .................... to turn the mattress and put the sheets on.

I'm not - but then I HAVE been married twice so I have had all the rats I need in my life...and I know how to treat 'em;)

talking of which DD hasn't been returned by her adoring papa yet. Late AGAIN DS didn't go today cos he was at athe karting party then he went to GFs He wanted me to take him upthere but I was too wet and too mucky to sit in the car.

Had to look again at that flylady's name - cos there's a place near Clay Cross called Sharley Park! Why did rats remind you of her?

She's back now! DD that is...

  • Thanks for the chocolate and all the great advice :T :A . I've got more time on my hands these day, just need to be ORGANISED  . The trouble is it's an effort for me to be organised in all areas of life, I'm not a natural lMonica Geller or Anthea Turner. My parents are like me as well, they live in big house but don't have a cleaning routine, they just clean whenever they're expecting visitors. My late grandmother (God rest her soul) was a wonderful lady and a domestic goddess. She lived on her own in a three bedroomed semi and kept a spotless house. One of my best friends remembers coming round in the school hoildays, only to be roped into cleaning with me and my parents becuase Grandma Winnie was visiting!

Hopefully I'll get there. Your positive attitudes are infectious!

PS. I'm ashamed to sdasy that I've never heard of anyone cleaning their washing machine with vinegar or soda crystals until now, but I'd like to give it a go. Which one is best and what exactly do you do?

Why don't you ask your GP to write a letter to the council - or get on to your local councillor about it...cos clearly talking to the employees is having no effect. Just a thought.

Thanks. I'll discuss this with my husband

re the bathroom - it occurs to me that, now you're a flylady, you will have the bathroom looking spotless in no time - perhaps you need to take a picture to show how bad it can get...you can show this to your GP to prove your case BTW...clearly you do not want mould in there because mould spores are harmful BUT they will return if the underlying problem which is causing the damp is not treated.

Out of interest - how many external walls does your bathroom have? They are notorious for getting cold and hence damp.

I'm glad no one noticed my deliberate mistake in my last post and the mis-spelling of a flyladies name!!

I've had a lovely hours sleep so i'm going to have my dinner now. My wonderful mum went to waitrose and got me one of those meals for two for a tenner. I know there's only one of me but i'll take half of it for lunch tomorrow. Watching the xfactor and wondering why I think all the ones who are good the judges say are carp. Also, why am I watching it went my children aren't even here?!?! Oh yes, because I don't have a life! xx
