No... but if I just buy bird food it'll save a lot of hassle... with that and Pigpen's recipe for sock soup I'll be sorted :D

I coulda saved you my river socks - bet they'd add flavour:o

I think I will go and get my washing in while you're all laughing at my post on the previous page. I'm not sure my ego can stand it...

Have pretty much given up on flying for the day having put the shopping away and sorted and inventoried the freezer. have also mealplanned for the next 3 weeks :D

was about to do the lounge but DH has moved in here to watch the football / study so I don't want to stop him. It can wait til tomorrow and its only getting a quick dust & hoover. Spilt some pine nuts on the kitchen floor some went under the fridge so need to hoover them up and will hoover the hallway too whilst I'm at it. Then fajitas for dinner and a glass of wine. DH wants to watch an opera we have on sky+ and as he's been working all day and we watched my choice of film last night I'd better let him...

right, final push, off to put the WM on and hoover up.
nicki - they are fantastic - well done!

Valli, well done on your ditch clearing - it actually (and now I'll sound REALLY mad) sounds quite interesting and fun to have done.

I have cleaned my pit and washed the sheets, line dried them and put them back on the bed. I've also done another load of washing and have just had a quick G&T with nice neighbour - I invited her over to view the details of my holiday :D

So I shall mellow now this evening I think - stir fry with rice for tea.

Tomorrow I need to dyson my bedroom and do the Tesco malarky

  • Hello all :hello:

Have decided to make a start with baby steps. Last night I cleaned the bath, bath seat and windowsill. Today I washed my hair, emptied the bins, did a small amount of shopping, spent some time with my parents, did the dishes, sorted out some stuff for the blue (recycling) bin, cleaned the sink and wiped down some more surfaces in the bathroom. I'm going to have a rest then attempt to finish the bathroom later

The reason I'm finding the bathroom such hard work is because I'm having to clean off the dirt that damp leaves. The damp has been there since we moved in (13 months ago). I've reported it the the council (it's a council flat) and someone inspected it, said it needed treating and never returned! I've been chasing them up about it but still it has not been treated  . It annoys me because it looks disgusting and can't be good for myself and my husband (particularly seeing as hubbie is in ill health anyway).

Anyway, feel slightly tired but proud of myself for facing the housework problem :j . It sounds daft but whenever I go into the bathroom I keep smiling because the white surfaces look whiter!

Thanks for your support so far :T :A

Not at all - when I cleaned my undersink cupboard in the kitchen I kept going for a look and a *glow*.

I'm planning to pop down and have a look at myunblocked culvert too! Now that IS sad!

    Well done Em

Why don't you ask your GP to write a letter to the council - or get on to your local councillor about it...cos clearly talking to the employees is having no effect. Just a thought.

    Hiya
    I've done a brief S/S since I came in.
Tracker...I hope you're feeling a bit better though you've been quiet for a while!!
Nicki - those models are amazing. You should all be so pleased and proud of yourselves.
Soappie - the cottage sounds fab, have a great time!
SarahS - glad you had a great birthday
Valli - i'm glad you're dry now and well done for doing all that work. Was the new guy good looking?:rotfl:

I had other things to say but can't remember. Absolutely shattered though the course was really, really good. I've another day tomorrow then i've only one more to complete one of the diplomas and two more days for the other. Might go and eat something or might just go straight to bed. xx

Back from the party, just about survived! Been a while since I have been in a room with so many babies and toddlers. At least 7 under 2s I think then a few over. I got the first cuddle when he woke up tho ;) most people arrived when he was asleep so he looked a bit stunned when he woke up. I sometimes want another but they can besuch hard work, every time a door opened they all heard it and tried to get out!

Boys debating if they want to go back up tonight so I've popped a washer load in which is nearly finished and a load in the drier while they decide, I'm not botheredeither way, DP is out all day tomorrow regardless.

Going to empty the dishwasher I started when I popped back earlier, make sure I have everything for lunches on Monday, go through some accounts stuff then see what they want to do.

    Valli well done :)
hollyh don't be down, these things happen, just take a deep breath you'll have it sorted in no time, well done with the sale aswell.
Dusty well done to your DS for being a star :) what a nice thing for them to do, kids being good isn't recognised often enough in my opinion.

I have my cards :D kids have found my DS aswell, miht have to pick your brains on how to use them tho, will have a look at them when I get back tomorrow evening....

Right, if I do go I need to take some bin bags, the bowl and a few other things so will go sort them now, ttfn :p

Emily - Valli, as will be come clear pretty quickly is mad. She irons dusters and matches pegs... But I don't think she's the only one who has sat and admired the effects of their hard work in the house! It's amazing how getting the hang of your housework cheers you up and makes other things seem manageable. I posted something about bathroom cleaners a week or so ago... but I can't find it now. I think borax might have been recommended for mouldy bathrooms.

Nikki - keep forgetting to say, the models are brilliant. Well done.

Holly - hope you've found a way of dealing with the problem, and haven't had to redo all your hard work

SarahS - where is it??? we need to see!!!

I'm seriously unmotivated. Having only managed Monday's list this week :o I'm finding it hard to get going. Having said that... I've been in so little, that nothing is particularly bad, so if I DO pull my finger out and get on with it, it shouldn't take too long to get it up to scratch and maybe even do a few extras.

I've got someone coming over on Monday to tile the kitchen, raise the cold water tank, take the old gas flue out of the chimney and try to find out where/why the roof/chimney is leaking.
