Ah look...we gave you advice (some duff it has to be said till Lil came and sorted us all out) and we've made you laugh. Not get that on the DT thread anyway...too busy bashing benefit frauds and talking politics!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I think you just give her 2 choices.
1. She opens a basic bank account and you set up a standing order(stating it is maintaince on it) for £100 a month and you buy the odd thing here and there where you feel appropiate. OR
2. You stick with the csa and pay what-ever they say and that is all you are going to pay, you won't be paying for the odd thing here and there.
If she has got any sense she will take no 1. The ball would be in her court and by paying by standing order into her account you have proof of payment and she would not be commiting benefit fraud. If she insists on any amount over £100 in cash she is probably commiting benefit fraud and 2. You will end up having to pay again through the csa as she will say she did not receive any money from you.
The moral is only agree to option 1. Anything else will come back to bite you on the bum.0 -

She can have any amount that she wants and she won't be commiting benefit fraud providing she declares it to the DWP. As she will be allowed an £80.00 disregard then she would get £20.00 per monthe deducted from her IB.0 -
Loopy Girl. imho if she wants more than £100 and won't have it paid direct into her account there would only be one reason for that she is claiming benefit fraud.0

Will any bank open a basic account with her?
I can easily setup an standing order named 'maintenence' - this sounds like a good idea.
Going back to a previous question though, how long do banks hold records for? Could I prove I've been paying £100 a month standing order in 10 years time? (from 2008 till 2018)0 -
If theres one leston i've learnt from life its goes like this.........

Where are you getting the £100.00 from? That's £25 a week and she's only allowed to keep £20.00 so if he paid her £25.00 a week, she should be declaring the £25 so that £5.00 can be taken off her IB.

Does that still apply if she is not on IB? In all honesty I don't think she is on IB anymore, she hasn't been on holiday in a while.
Hello again Loopy Girl btw. :j0
