Item arrived broken - advice please
3plus1
I recently won an item that arrived broken. It was described as being in mint condition and it's obvious that it broke in transit due to the packaging not being sufficient. I did pay what I considered to be a steep p+p fee, so I'm a little bit annoyed the seller didn't take more care in padding my item.
I have messaged the seller politely requesting a refund and have sent a photograph of the damage to him, so he can see I'm not just trying it on. How long should I wait for a response before going over his head? I've never had any problems with eBay before and am a bit unsure as to what's reasonable.
I paid via Paypal using a credit card.
Thanks for any advice!

Give the seller no more than 48 hours if they are active on ebay, if they don't appear to be actively using their account either buying , selling or leaving feedback maybe give them an extra day or two. You can always phone them up as well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you for the advice. I've been through his recent feedback and he was definitely online on Friday at some point, but there's nothing to indicate he's been on this weekend. He's got excellent feedback, so fingers crossed he's just been away and he'll get back to me on Monday/Tuesday.
I've never used the Paypal dispute system and really would rather not have to learn, if possible!0 -

sending parcels to and fro(or frow for you)damaging the enviroment?
yes im sure thats the primary cause
so whats the enviromental impact of glue production, transport, retailing & disposal?0 -

We've all got bigger things to worry about than our minutest of minute affects on the environment. Anyway according to that ground breaking program The Great Global Warming Swindle which was on CH4 a while back it's all nonsense anyway.
Oh and do we drive to the recycling plant.......of course. Who do you think we are?0 -
sorry all, i was just bored and wanted to see if it would get some reasponce.
i cant believe i did , just to let you know i dont recycle i pay my taxes and some one else can do it for me , i live in the country and burn my rubbish what will burn any way i drive a gas guzzling 4x4 and i go on holiday by plane twice a year and im glad that im not the only one who thinks what a bunch of fakers at the recycling banks at the super markets doing there bit yes right, i still how ever think the op should have gone and got some glue, and i bet it was a ceramic or glass item.
circuit board??????????, of all the things to think of,
