thankfully it seemed to all be there when i tried to repair it for them as best i could
the unknown crockery type item sent in a jiffy bag, whatever it is it was bulky and is multiple peices now
the constant amount of items sent in do not bend envelopes which are way too bulky/heavy so the envelope just falls to pieces
people who think a carrier is bag is a militery issue indestructable transportation vessel and many more
yes some will send out poorley packed but many more do not ive visited our nearest parcel force depot ITS THE STAFF, sadly people source out other couriers only to find it all ends up at a parcell force depot.

Go through paypal, (I'm not sure why people are suggesting the ebay dispute console) you should be able to open the dispute on day 7.

Does anyone have a link to this?

All I can see is the 10 day rule on eBay... if I go to the PayPal website, I can't see anything about 7 days...?

PS Is it likely I'm going to have to post back this broken item? The seller and I have already essentially agreed (through eBay messages) that she posted the item, I received it and it was broken. We're only arguing over whose fault it was the item broke and who should refund me.

unless the seller has a change of heart and refunds you, then yes paypal will require that you return the item by a trackable method for a refund
  • wrong, if they have provided paypall with photos etc and paypall have sided with the buyer then the seller will have to pay for the return.
  • the seller is held accountable right down the line the buyer will not have to pay for the return of the item ,

no, the buyer has to pay to return the item to the seller:

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/we...pbp#pbp-policy

    13.7 Claims Procedures.

If you escalate a Dispute into a Claim, we will gather information from you and the seller and determine eligibility for reimbursement under the Buyer Protection Programs in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. Here are some important things to remember about the Claim process:

If a buyer files a Claim asserting receipt of a Significantly Not as Described item, we will generally require the buyer to return the item to the seller at the buyer’s expense and to provide proof of return delivery.

(WE will generally require ok yes), sorry no not in 5five times in my case and a few other power sellers i knew through ebay also, paypall forced the seller to give a full refund including the original postage paid by the buyer in my case as the seller they said i had to pay for the return of the item not the buyer, if i had not the buyer was not going to send it back unless i paid , I think many take paypall and there clever wording as gospel far from it, as i have also stated if you as a seller do not wish to give a refund and remove money from your paypall account there is nothing paypall can do, the full protection is rubbish if you the seller refuse they freeze your account pointless if there is nothing in it and send an automated email to the buyer saying sorry we were unable to retrieve funds from the seller rest assure we will attempt to , you never here from paypall again ,unless, again an automated email i have done it to 1 of my buyers as i have said before and i have had it done to me for £495 never got 1 penny back ,
i on;y buy on ebay now and for expensive items i collect, no longer sell as paypall is ???? and i get more money for my items from the high street auction house, as after you have paid increased sellers fee final fees and paypall fees its fine if your selling ild tat etc but expensive for the seller if he is selling dear items.
