I heard that they are in trouble. I am closing my account and moving it to nationwide.

Hey, being concise is important too

Sorry but this topic has been done to death, and it isn't hard to find it covered elsewhere. I didn't want to have a go at the OP, as I knew others probably would, so just thought it best to waste as little of people's time as possible!

I have this account, should I close it now? Is my money safe? Am I okay to put more money in?

    Thanks

The original Bradford & Bingley got into trouble but has been bailed out. The savings side of the business is now under the wing of Abbey and is part of the huge Santander banking group. The B&B name will continue to be used as it's well established. It doesn't get much safer than that.

I've happily opened a B&B internet saver series 3 this week and will be filling it with the maximum guaranteed FSCS limit of £50,000 over the coming months (well, less a bit of expansion room for accrued interest of course).

Yes you are quite safe. We have an internet saver 2 and are thinking of closing it and taking out an internet 3 as the interest rates are much better. Please dont worry everyone is just so anxious about everything at the moment, but things I believe are quite safe now with B & B.

Don't close it. Just open an issue 3 on-line, then when its opened simply transfer the issue 2 brass to the issue 3 account, like wot I did

Its done from the B and B account only. log into your account and find the move money in and out tab. Go in there and transfer in whatever amount you want to transfer from your nominated bank account
