Doodle, I'm wonderful thanks! Had a good day despite the weather. Only spent £40 on food shopping, filled up the petrol tank in Morrison's & am very nearly at 5000 points for a free £5 voucher.
I've painted some bits around the house, getting closure to that 'finished' point with all the DIY!
DH did some in the garage & I've done ALL of my washing!
Panda - Yep they're Ikea bags! Oh the shame. But in my defence, grow bags at B&Q are around £6 for 4 & Ikea bags are only about 35p each! The potatoes seem to love them & they've grown so much in the last week!!! I'd definitely stick them outside. Mine are growing so well & all I do is make sure they have enough water due to being in bags rather than the ground.
Getting ready for a cosy night in with DH & the Eurovision. I'm sad & quite look forward to it every year!
Going to have a bash at this Dooyoo thingy while I'm watching.

Feeling really good today despite the horrible weather. Got up at a decent hour & have done most of my boring chores already. Only have a small pile of ironing left to do!
Have been thinking a lot about debt busting and the fact we want to get the house up to scratch at the same time. How to work that is a puzzle at the moment, but I think I've cracked it. So far we've agreed that any money from salaries will go on bills, food, general needs like clothes etc, and anything left will go on paying off debt. Then anything we make on the side, ie Ebay, will go on sorting out the house. Not only will we have motivation to do Ebay stuff, but we can happily know that the debt is shrinking at the same time!
As soon as I get my payslip (which I think will be next week), I am going to do a proper SOA. I'm quite excited about that!
Am officially at my skintest (is that a word?) for the last time ever. We thought we would go over on the OD next week but DH just realised a family member owes him £75, so he's gone off to get that this afternoon. That should sort everything until the end of the month when real life begins!
Had a gander at Dooyoo this morning & it looks brill. Can't wait to get cracking. DH was looking over my shoulder & he is eager too, so hopefully getting to the payout point will be easier with 2 of us writing reviews.

Afternoon Retro that sounds like a good idea. Its hard when every penny you make goes on debt busting isn't it. There was so much in my house that we left until we could afford to it but the end result was nothing got done

Dooyoo is fab I have just taken out my first £50 so hoping there will be a cheque in the post in the next week or so :TProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

It is hard Doodle! We've lived in this house for 4 years this August & we haven't really changed very much. The old owner's (a couple in their 70's) taste is still very much present here! Can't wait to get going with Dooyoo.
Happytogetdebtfree - Welcome! Thanks for popping along. It's nice to see people around my age with the same problem & have the same goals.

I'm trying to get back into Dooyoo as well - it is fab. I'm Pandapaws on there - give us a nudge and I'll add you to my list and rate some of your reviews.
Like the idea of splitting the money to do different things. We're struggling too between priorities of paying debt off and doing things to the house but since we're permanently overdrawn neither seem to get done.
Got a composter (Bokashi?) off Freecycle yesterday, which I'm quite excited about. Just need to get the bran to get it going then I can get stuck into my little Ikea-bag garden!0 -
Fab plan on using ebay money for house stuff whilst still denting debt - that's when it's easy to slide off the wagon or get down - when you can't do stuff you need/ really want to do, especially when you're in this for the long haul!!
Well done on the wardrobe sorting - I did a trip to the dump the other week and felt so much better for decluttering!!
I'm gonna have to look into Dooyoo... sounds quite good!!
Hope all else is well in your world!
