New strawberry plants that cost about £3 through an online offer. The arrived completely flat & VERY brown. I hope they perk up soon.

Panda - No Mummy gifts, but she did spend far too much on DH so I can't complain.
Went for a lovely carvery last night for DH's birthday. He had a wonderful day, and got loads of nice presents - he says! :D Nice to have a normal night tonight. Have done some washing, watered all of my plants, and will probably do some ironing in a bit. Going to carry on sorting through the front bedroom. Junk heaven at the moment. Long bath too, feel really achey today.
DH has gone to B&Q for more supplies for the garage! He's nearly sorted out the roof & guttering. There was a problem with the guttering not catching the rainwater from the roof so the wall was constantly wet & a little damp to say the least.
Work is going really well Elizabeth. Still doing training, am back in the City tomorrow - which I don't enjoy as I have to catch the train! Can't wait to be fully trained & just 'doing the job' everyday, if you know what I mean!

Plants look fab Retro and glad you had a great evening with DH!!! Sounds like you're making a real start on the garage too!

Ems - Start my own interviews on the 28th! Not long now. :D

Went to Ikea last night & got 2 bright orange Poang covers from my chairs for £9.99 each. They're usually about £55-65 & our cream ones are dirty, pulled & in need of replacing! Will match my bright orange sofa! Sounds hideous, but it's lovely. :D

Need to put my expenses in tomorrow for all this training travel.

Was going to try to do something this Bank Hol coming, but everything is far too expensive, even camping! :(

Retro - your plants look brilliant:D I have strawberry plant envy:rotfl::rotfl:
We bought one measly little strawberry plant, which is doing ok....but will probably only give us one pud's worth of berries hehee. I need to get some more compost and get going....we have a few tomato seeds sprouting and that's it;) Oh....and 11 tubs of flowers:D
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Definitely not long then!! Woohoo!!!

Bright orange does sound 'interesting' ;).... i always think with bright colours that you can only really judge when you see them!! But £20 to recover two chairs - you can't argue with that!!!

I think camping could be going up this year with lots of people doing it for a cheaper holiday!!! Hope you manage to get something sorted though.

    Emms

    P.S I finally chased on jobseekers!! :o

Milly - flowers are are gorgeous though! I have neglected my flowers, and only have a few trays of flower seeds planted out. It will still be good money saving though when they flower. Saves me buying bedding plants at £5 a tray from B&Q.

Ems - I'll have to take some pics to prove I'm really not crazy! :D

I've never been so happy for it being Friday! Really hard week training, my brain is fried. Went for a cheap pub lunch for dinner tonight, as we'll end up staying in all weekend. Shouldn't have because I'm skint but hey ho.

Plans for the weekend? Sort out junk & plough on with the garage to get some space for Ebay selling. :D Funtimes! Not.

Plants look fab. Are those potatoes just planted in Ikea bags? I've got a bag of potatoes that have started sprouting, and you've just given me the idea of sticking them in a bag full of mud and hoping for the best rather than chucking them out. Fingers crossed!
