skysky69 - You're right, every £2 here & there adds up! I don't have much left on Ebay at the moment so this week I'm going to crack on with listing again.
I am SO excited about my new job. I can't wait to get a start date. Knowing all this Ebay money will be going directly to debt will be amazing! Eeeeeee!
I've done all the cleaning this morning. Feeling so much better & finally feel like moving about isn't a pain. Going to crack on this afternoon with Ebaying & some small DIY jobs.
Living room radiator was cracking so have sanded that down & can paint that today. Blustery day here so will stick my washing on the line, if these clouds don't produce any rain!
Think my cats have fleas so am going to spray the upstairs carpet & beds just in case. Poor things will have to be de-fleaed tonight if I can pick up some treatment from the vets today.

Hey retro, you have done so well on your debt busting, just looking at your sig you have paid nearly £2k off!!!!!!!! and thats without wages too.........just think of how much you could pay off with all that extra from wages and your ebaying!!!!!!
talking of ebaying, i really need to get back into listing stuff, got a bit disheartened with it not so long back as nothing was selling. but will step back on the wagon and give it another go, have plenty to sell, just need the people who need it to see it and buy it!!!!!!!!
kepp up the good work retro, and take it easy, you may feel fine now...........

Rags & Liz - that thought exactly is what's keeping me chugging along at the moment!

Having a positive day (always when the sun is shining). Done all my checks & spreadsheets this morning. Got out into the garden fairly early (for me) & had a bit of a tidy up. Sorted all my pots out (had moss growing & allsorts). Potted up some new plants that I had bought a month ago, and planted some bulbs too. Cleared the side of the house from carp & leaves etc. Repositioned bins. Looks lovely now! Back garden is very much work in progress.
Going to transfer my "butterfly mix" of flowers to bigger pots this afternoon as they've outgrown their propogator & are fighting each other for light! I've also dug out some unwanted big bushes & put them on freecycle. Also some old trellis & piping. We've found the most random things down the side of the garage from the previous owner!!!
Had free lunch (leftover Mother's Day trifle!).

Yay, congratulations on the job! How annoying that they haven't given you a start date, but hopefully it won't be too far away. I think DWP are possibly quite good about giving salary advances when you first start with them? I might be wrong with that, or that may be totally out of date but I think that when I did some temping for them ages ago they offered some money before payday because of the delay to be paid. Or maybe I made all that up in my head. Hopefully you'll get enough on ebay that you won't need to ask!
Sorry about your cat. Similar thing a few years ago with my/my mum's cat, who was 21 - really sad. I get upset if the goldfish croak it, and I was in tears the other day when I ran over a rabbit - stupid female hormones!
You're doing fab, keep going!0 -
Oo well done on the green fingers!! Everyone has the gardening bug at the moment - so lovely in the sun though!!
Just so you know if you need any cheap gardening things the poundland in the Pallasades is selling all kinds of random stuff... a lot of tat but things like plant feed and that is cheap!!

Hi Retro
Thanks for popping in hun and your kind words - you're are my positive influence that there are jobs out there and things will be fine!! And also the amount you've been doing whilst you're off - talking of which - I must go and get my backside into gear!!!
Hope you're having a good thursday

Panda - I do hope so. DH worked there about 5 years ago & I've been picking his brains for how things worked such as pay etc & he 'doesn't remember'. Bloody useless!
Liz - Thanks for the heads up! I've been looking for an excuse to trundle into the City for a while, but can't find one. Now I have an excuse! The Poundland by me is so small.
Nothing major to report. Been sorting out some Ebay things. I have 3 Ebay accounts now, all sorted into categories as to what we'll be selling in each. I have a few 'ventures' I want to get into, but just need a small amount of money to kick-start them. I think I have enough money for all the bills & half the accountant's bill, so any money I make this week I will put into a pot for that purpose.
Otherwise the blustery weather kept me out of the garden yesterday & made all that sweeping the day before completely pointless! I have mounds of leaves & rubbish all over the front garden now!
Going to sort through the office today. Need to get busy!

Feeling icky again. Saw Dr on Friday - but is not taking me seriously! That's 2 different Docs now! Am going to see 3rd tomorrow & if I don't get referred, Mum has said she will pay for private treatment.
Overworked in the garden yesterday & paid for it today! So haven't been very productive.
