If you've got an Asda near you, they've got the Good As It Looks Felix pouches on offer atm. Two boxes for £6.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I have stopped doing my weekly shop at Tescos as i find them very expensive now. Can't give you any specific examples, but as other posters have said, alot of the value lines have either disappeared or gone up a hell of alot in price. I have now gone back to Sainsburys as i find their own brand and value lines alot more reasonable. I never thought that i would say that as Tesco used to be alot cheaper than Sainsburys, but it now seems to be the other way round. Occasionally i do shop at Morrisons as they also do good offers. I wish i lived near to Asda as i would probably shift over to them!0

On several occasions recently I have noticed shop assistants going along the isles changing the price tags, although I must admit I didn't take much notice of what they were actually until I read this Thread. I will certainly keep my eyes open from now on.0

I noticed this as well at our local Tesco, I always used to buy the light option, but not any longer.
I don't know how they can justify this
Couldn't believe my eyes on Tuesday! Tesco coffee whitener (not Light) was £1.69!! Two weeks ago it was £1.23!! Are they really allowed to do this?0 -

eMail Chief Executive Sir Terry Leahy, and ask him to justify this price hike

I can't remember if I've already said about the Value fish fingers coming in a smaller pack--they were in 16's now back to 10 but of course the price hasn't dropped.
Value sausage rolls [frozen] have gone up 15p in a week. I'm trying to work out the percentage but it's been a v-e-r-y long time since I had to do formula at school
Am I right in thinking cost was 85p so [8.5p=10% > 0.85p=1%] the rise is a smidge over 17.6%.
What are they trying to do--reclaim the VAT they've (not) lost on other stuff perhaps?

I buy coffee-mate light and Sainsbury's were 40p cheaper than Tesco + Asda, which were same, however last week I noticed that it had gone up to price match.
I also noticed all the non-standard stuff, like own brand sprays, etc. is going up and up by 20 - 50p a go!0 -
3 Items bought today in York:-
Princes Tuna in Brine special isle end offer 3 x 185g
Bought yesterday for £1.49 special offer (basics cost 55p tin).
Went today to get some more still on isle end offer but gone up to £1.99!
An increase of 34%
Has anbody else notice these sort of rises?
I am glad you posted that - I did the same and then thought I must have remembered the price wrong !0
