I assume that you checked the price online? There are lots of grocery items on offer finishing tomorrow, but the website always put the price back up beforehand as they would have to be delivered by today to get the offer price.

Sounds like someone made a pricing error which has now been corrected. Makes a change from their overcharging

I never thought I'd see the day that Waitrose were massively cheaper than Tesco but a new product that I wanted to buy loads of has just opened my eyes.
Cherrygood is the tastiest fruit juice I've ever found, it's just been launched apparently. I first found it in Asda for £1.39/litre and then went to buy more in Tesco - £1.59/litre, hmm. Okay, I can handle that I suppose because Tesco is closer, the usual.
But yesterday I found my lovely Cherrygood on sale at Waitrose for 99p/litre. How can Tesco justify this? It's cheaper for me to get in my car, pay for parking and shop in Waitrose than the Tesco that's 2 minutes away.
I'm glad I found this thread because my eyes are wide open now!!! Makes me shudder to think that so many people are being unknowingly ripped off by Tesco.

Maybe because on this occasion Waitrose decided to apply less of a rip off margin

Maybe because Waitrose are using it as a loss leader to entice you into the store and then go on to buy some of their (IMO) overpriced other stuff?
