Has anybody tried their cat on dog food ? Sometimes dog food is on special and I often wondered what's the difference between them, if any. My cat (stray who adopted us) has no teeth on one side and he cant have biscuits.

Hello there. Cats are carnivores whereas dogs are omnviores - this means that dog food isn't really nutritionally good for cats. I've softened biscuits in leftover stock for my cat when he was getting over dental surgey.

Where we live we have Lidl, Coop, Tesco (was Somerfield, was Morrisons, was Safeway, was Presto!) and local shops.
I quite like Tesco, tbh prices are also increasing elsewhere and Tesco shopping trolleys have straps in, which helps a lot with a crazeeeee toddler in there!

  • Up until the end of last year I was buying Tesco own brand baby bath (purple bottle almost identical to their baby lotionor cream or something) was £1.00 exactly, the next time I went to buy it it had rocketed to £1.75 per bottle!!!

Theyre selling it 2 for £3 at the minute which is still far more expensive than it was to start with.Dont get me wrong I understand prices increase and were in a recession yadda yadda but how the h**l can they justify that?

Im off to shop around today, Tesco just lost another customer here. Their loss considering I was averaging £30 per quarter in clubcard vouchers, you can see how much I must have been spending, well no more ! :D

Well I went to Sainsburys yesterday and their whiskas is also £3.37 for 6 (same as Tesco) but bought 24 cans in independent pet store - £11.50 for 24. Just checked the cans and Whiskas says 4% beef min 4% fresh meat!!! So that's not very good is it. Will try the asda cat good once I have used this lot up and see how we go.

In Sainsburys they had mouthwash for 1/2 price - £1.36 whereas in Tesco 2 weeks ago they had the same mouthwash on a BOGOF but was £3.92, so another rip off there also!!!!!!

ASDA tiger selects foil packets are 14% meat and only cost £2.50 for 12! Our snobby cat has started rejecting tins, so we've had to resort to these!

    Hi People

I shop at Tesco because it is only 5 minutes from my house and so is Lidl (Lidl is not always cheaper) I use the attached link when I know I am going to go past other supermarkets on my travels to check out their special offers.

I hate Tesco's sharp practices and always read the misprice and mega reduction threads and then go aand buy loads of it if I can find it. I had 12 small pork joints for 75p each a while back so will not need to buy their overpriced pork for a while!

    Hope this link helps

Not sure if this is the right place to post...did an online order through Tesco, bought some shampoo that was on offer, valid on the day of my order, and on the day of delivery. But I was charged full price. The offer has now expired and so is no longer showing on their website. I have emailed Tesco customer service who are refusing to refund me or honour the offer price.

"Unfortunately, I am unable to locate offers that we have had on previously and they have provided me with that information." was one of the many unhelpful replies from them!!

I don't order from them regularly and won't be doing so again. Does anyone have an email address that I can write to, other than the basic customer service one?

I wonder how many people get caught out with this.
